I am already doing it for the next contest xD and I really want to do it in Inkscape so I need the time. It is just that the buttons are all mixed up and the pentool works less easy (for me, since I am used to adobe pentool)

Not really but somehow you have to use Inkscape. You can try with Illustrator but well it's not the best.

Well, it doesn't produce details out of nothing. So if there is not enough details, your wallpaper will look empty in higher resolutions ^^

Yes it's scalable to any size. It's usable with future screen resolutions (minus aspect ratio change)

Svg is vector only so yes. My two wallpapers are full vector so it works ^^

You will be able to choose the format that you download. Downloading the svg instead of the png/jpg means you can tweak the vector to your liking ^^
