I've always loved this movie so I decided to do a wallpaper of it. In the beginning of the movie when Chihiro first gets stuck in the spirit world she starts turning transparent before Haku helps her. I decided to do that kind of effect in this picture so I made the edges of the scan of Chihiro and Haku transparent and faded along with changing the colors of Chihiro's shirt and Haku's hair &eyes to better match the background.
Layers: around 30 or so Time: a couple days; I kept coming back to it and editing it.

I know you said you were going for making Chihiro and Haku look like they're disappearing, but it looks to me like Haku is the only one who's disappearing from the horns down. D: I think it makes them both seem kind of out of place compared to the background.
Texture looks good, and I like the buildings in the bg.

Amazing work~~ My only complaint is the "fading" really didn't work... it looks nice in some places, though.

Very brilliant and firey wallpaper =) My only critique is that Chihiro and Haku should be a further up the wallpaper rather than only occupying the lower half as they are the main attraction here.
