I haven't made a wallpaper in quite some time and recently I felt like walling.

I took this screen shot from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann episode 6 from the image that comes up when it goes to an add break. I've always wanted to wall one of these and I really liked what was going on in this one.

From that I decided to repaint the wallpaper rather than vector it because I felt it would be nice if the image looked more sketchy. In the process of doing the line art I decided to repaint where the logo and highlights would have been as I felt it made the wallpaper look nicer. I'm also not a huge fan of having logo's in wallpapers, so it was another reason for me to remove it.

I also decided to add some textures to the background to liven it up a little more. The ceiling texture was one of my own and used in a couple of other wallpapers of mine and the wall texture came from here:

It feels nice to give the Sisters Kiyoh, Kinon and Kiyal a wallpaper too as there are so many of Yoko and Nia (although this one still has Yoko in)! I hope you all enjoy this wallpaper ^_^

I've seen a few of these eyecatches redone, very simple but still very nice (and functional as a wallpaper). That's interesting what you mentioned at the end there - I started working on something with the Black Kinsman a few weeks ago because there are no wallpapers of them in the gallery...I'll finish that in a little while...after my Yoko wallpaper ^_^;

Thank you for this. I needed something to remind me of why I love Gurren Lagann, especially after the soul-crushingly terrible dub that premiered on Sci-Fi yesterday (they even goofed with the opening song and made it sound horrible). Not that I ever watch dubs anymore, but it makes me wonder how good the ADV dub could have been...not that we'll ever know now. Anyway, thanks.

Yaah for more gurren lagann wallpapes! You would think with all the awesome eyecatches throughout the series that more wallpapers of them would be around but I guess not. I also think its nice to finally have the sisters (although I only like 2 out of the 3)in a wallpaper. The textures on the door shades are really nice and fit in well with the entire picture. All around just a really nice and fun wallpaper to look at, thanks for sharing.

Oh a bit off topic but yor sig is quite awesome. I love okami :)
