Decided to make this wallpaper after watching Sailor Moon series (second time). Honestly, I didn't think I will like this after 13 years and after seeing a lot of good series in this time... guess I was wrong, cause I did like it after so many years.
So that was my motivation for doing this wallpaper. Now let's say a little about how it was made.
The first thing I did was the block of ice, so I didn't really notice how bad was my scan of the characters.http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/LordICE/original.jpgAfter abandoning the wallpaper for about 1 week, I finally decided to vector the whole scan. Knowing this will take some time, I decided not to rush on this and actually make some modifications here and there. Added shadows, shiny elements, little neck stars, new earrings (don't know why, but in the original scan Makoto and Ami didn't have the earrings from the series), and other little things.
The block of ice is from another SM scan (no really much work on this). The effect surrounding the ice was made with my mouse, so don't kill me cause I don't have a graphic tablet :). The moon and sky were generated.
The main inspiration point for this was the Sailor Moon-R movie, where the sailor soldiers enter the earth atmosphere on top of an asteroid (in my wallpaper, that asteroid is a block of ice from S movie :P)

I really like this but I almost feel that everything around the sailor scouts is too complex and doesn't quite fit right seeing as the series style is quite simple.But overall a nice Sailor Moon wall.Good job.^^

Wow, its been some time since I've seen Sailor Moon. I like the original 5 sailor scout idea, though I'm not too fond of the scan you used.
Background is great as well as the whole flame effect you have going on there. Good work! Thanks for sharing!

it's nice and i'm really happy to see a sailor moon wallpaper. everything looks well done except the scouts just don't seem to fit into the background. otherwise, this was an excellent job.

The only thing I don't like in this wallie is not your fault: I don't like the work of this character designer =P The faces the draws are sooooooo strange... =P
