OMFG this is trully epic aside from the amount of creativity and work you put into it but you did it with goddamn style and sheer brilliance the whole thing is so surreal, the painted bg is stunning and i love the grim dark look and the loneliness of it all

and congrats on your third year, hope you will be around for years to come heh your first wall isn't that bad but yeh, you certainly have come a long way

I agree with AssasinXXX this wall is epic, you went all out and showed every last bit of your talent as a waller, even without Ed in it this wall would be fantastic. The colors are so deep and rich I can see this on a canvas and you painting it by free hand, all the shades of black and red in the fire, that's how detailed I think it looks. You thought about it, you put your heart into it and you were happy making it and that's what walling is all about. Passion, and I must say this is the best wall I've seen in a long time nothing else compares. Uniqueness knows no bounds. only one thing that looks slightly off to me is the angle of the mountains on the left hand side just doesn't sit right in my opinion

Well, this is my 1000th wallpaper comment, and I really wanted to give it to a precious friend. Glad that you was the one. And of course - happy 3rd anniversary, Anbuu! ;3 When you said last time that your wallpaper for this event will be something really serious, I was ready for some kickass piece, but this one is beyond what I expected. Is probably the best wallpaper from you until now. As somebody write is epic one, the details and the mood what is inside it, is something fantastic. Great painting skills what you have. Hope it will be highlighted, you would deserve it, really. And the title is absolutly right, the journey continues, your waller journey. you've managed to make a wall that instantly went to my desktop (textless version). may not seem lie much, but i'm extraordinarily picky about what goes on my desktop, that and i don't even like full metal alchemist. this wall though, is truly brilliance at it's core. the mood portrayed, thee colors chosen and the scan as well.

to see that you took this scan and made it into this wall, shows the depth of your creative mind, a truly artistic mind.

you get something rarely given by me, my fave waller's last wall didn't even get one, and that is a fave.

fantastic job on the atmosphere =o and the painting...the thing i love most is the car and everything in the foreground xD When you wall it always makes me wanna wall too, it's just my laziness wins alla time haha and you always impress me on how you really strive to be better *high fives* =]

and now for crit the one mentioned in the comment above about the mountain's angle i agree with, and the fire in the town somehow the depth of it is like the one in the foreground so i think the flames should be less lengthy and the smoke more thick around them, those are my only crits :'D

and i can totally see the alexiuss influence, the crazy lighting on the clouds :'D

The epicness of the background is excellent....the only thing I thought odd was the flames, they look a bit....frozen, like they aren't flames. That sounds kind of odd given that it's a wall and they aren't going to move, but i don't know how to better explain it XD

Shit, this is absolutely gorgeous. I was checking this wall out at work on my tiny ass screen and I was kinda like, what's the goldfish-looking balloon in the sky? How does this all fit together? But here I am at home, popped it on my desktop and instantly had my breath taken away. I love how CRISP everything is! The atmosphere, the mood is stunning. haha, this is like, the combination of your recent walls -- the clouds + sky colors + lighting + text style from your swordfish-II piece, the road cracks/unevenness from your akira wall, the newspaper that was in both your innocence remake and your akira wall...oh, and the tendrils of fire reminds me of your blame wall. (see how your walls have made impressions on me? :'D)

okay, so begins my messy train of thoughts. the clouds are beautifully done but that huge one ends kinda too abruptly on the right side. and it looks like that mountain is beyond that cloud...which would mean it is REALLY far away and extremely tall, making it kinda weird that it (especially its peak) is so clearly visible. and i'm not sure how others see it, but i must point out that it struck me as a little weird that all the mountains look to be approximate pyramids in shape. not to mention the four peaks to the left of the wall are all oriented at about the same angle. less geometric forms for the mountains would have made them more natural-looking. ;] but damn, i'm in love with those drifty mist/cloud things in front of the mountains. *__* haha *steals them and puts them in my closet with all the other stolen clouds*

the bombed city is cleverly done. i like the smoke, but the fires are mostly too triangular/have too long of a single upward trailing tendril that they don't look as fire-like as they could have. the three blazes closest to the viewers behind the brick walls look great though. as does the rest of the close-up ruins. love the highlighting work, love that car. (and the way you painted ed's hair! < 3 that's sweet.) although there are some minor things about lighting, such as how the crow doesn't seem to be lit by that nearby fire, how the brick wall that's at about the same distance as the car's windshield isn't lit by that fire etc. mm i feel like i'm saying tongue twisters.

anyway, very impressive work. :] this aptly demonstrates your skills. i wonder if i will be able to do something like this one year later...a long ways to go for me! lol +fav from me.

Holy srewny what have you done? XDXD This is AWESOME! You have totally redraw the whole picture...actually, never mind the "re", you drew this whole thing!! XDXD What wonderful landscape! (Ok, maybe "wonderful isn't the right word considering what's happening in the wallpaper. ^^;) I can tell you paint for a living...XD Or at least should. XDXD The only thing I'd pick about is that the buildings from a far looks 3-D-ish with mostly color and little lines. Yet the car and the half torn out house in the front is a little heavy on the lines, making it less real, and kind of loosing it to the overall picture. But other than that, nothing big. :P Great wall! (applause)

This really does resemble alexxius's work, especially the "stringy" paint style. I'll get right down to. As masterfully as this is painted I have some issues with the composition. First of all, I think the town in the center looks a little incomplete. I think it'd be better if you extended it to the left and right a little more. The way the sand comes around it and the blurring along the edges, it makes it seem as if there was more but a layer mask was applied. Also, are all the white dots embers? They almost resemble a distant city because the wind is not carrying them any particular direction. When I saw them at first I was thinking they were the twinkling lights of a distant city. Around the embers (if that is what they are) is a slightly darker tone than the sand color on the mountains and in the foreground. Again, this gives it a layer mask feeling, like you brushed away portions of the ember layer as you saw fit. I hope you understand what I'm saying. If not, I'll try and clarify further. Wonderful job with the foreground building rubble, cars, and Ed. The cat is a nice addition to the "war-torn" atmosphere. Its a fav from me, I can tell it was time well-spent.

You are a true artist! I am totally cowering in your prowess. This wallpaper is so lovely...it's not just a wallpaper, it's a masterpiece. To go from that one little scan of Ed to this! It takes a lot of creativity, and you certainly have it. ^_^ It's like a real painting! All the details...and when you showed your progress, it's just amazing. Even the fires and small details in the clouds, cat, and walls!! I'm totally stunned and speechless here. So creative...so beautiful...well, this is a must-fave, just like most of the other people did. XD Lovely work!

Simply Awe Inspiring...

You capture the mood, the darkness of that scene, so well that I find myself almost brought into that scene because of its activity - as if I were to the one standing there. Usually I avoid highly busy wallpapers, but this one has a perfect balance between the activities, and where they are located - meaning I am not drawn to one area of the wall in particular, which ultimately makes it lop-sided, but I found my eyes circled around the image, taking everything in. This is a skill that I cannot ignore, and applaud you on.

The time you took in making this has paid off, and I can almost see it become Featured in the very near future so everyone can marvel in this absolutely perfect piece.

surely this wallpaper call my attention completely,<3 the steps used to this tremendous work seem small but the final finish watching this magnificent, mainly by starting and render you used, the choice was indicated for this work, the clouds part semisuperior and later with those lighting effects and combination of colors is almost like the real seem that meteorites, the city incendiadada this luxury like the series and finally the details of the left and right with fire are excellent, I forgot the fonts ... the position is not nothing wrong or brightness and highlighted this point in his undoubtedly this is a masterful job, good job man.(9+_+)8)E

Interesting. Very, very interesting. It's weird to think of a character like Edward as living in war-torn Nazi Germany. Regardless of the obvious knowledge that not everyone in Germany in the 1940's was a supremacist monster, it's still odd to think of the good people living in that society... It's just not a thought that often crosses ones mind when you think of Nazi Germany.

opening the picture the first time and knowing only that it was a FMA wall, I initially thought you had drawn Mustangs handiwork from Ishbal...

Anyway, I've been rambling on about the things that came to mind instead of the work itself...

the sky it stunning, and I like that you added activity to the sky without distracting from the overall effect. The ground has this "road to hell" feel to it, and I would not be surprised to find that burnt out car covering a sign reading "fifth ring of hell: next three exits"

The color scheme is a lot like your earlier Bebop wall, but the layout and execution is way more epic. Also, this may sound odd but the part I like most is that little burning blimp in the center of the sky. It's just stunning, from the thin thread of flame and smoke around it to the lighting. O__O

Wow, I though that your vector skills were among the most impressive I had ever seen. I will also say that I thought vector was your only skill, well I was wrong. Beautiful brush work, this sky is among the most realistic I have yet to see here at animepaper the different colors complement the current scene. The only grip I have is of course my signature one, the text is very distracting. I am glade to see you made a text less version as well but I think if you had initially uploaded without text you may have received a highlight but you still should. Most original spin on anime art I have ever seen.

It's an awesome wall paper. Love the textures and the colors. Really takes one of the scenes from full metal alchemist and makes it epic.

My first comment would be somewhere along the lines of why is this not highlighted? It is excellent beyond comment, I don't even like FMA, and this is awesome because the scenic done here is very almost good enough to be Spyroteknik kinda background of darkness and excellent detailing. The clouds are awesome, fires vivid, and emotional content here is high up. don't stop walling man, you are god.

OMG,I can't believe it's origined from the Full Metal Alchemist. I always regard FMA as a bright world even though there are deep sorrows behind. This wall really gives a doomday feeling, like the last man on earth walking to the end of the world. Maybe it can be seen in dreams, but it's really stunning to be seen in an anime WP. You really get great creativiy into this work. And I can't understand why you not make a happier paper to celebrate your anniversary, sometimes just change a little style, maybe give people more surprise. Anyhow, this WP is good~ If the fire be vectored more real, this paper would just like doomday, aha~ ;)

Wow! Everything in the wall fits so nicely together. Every part of the wall complements itself; no detail is insignificant. The detail is stunning. I seriously cannot believe how clear this wall is; the sand, the sky, the buildings, everything looks so life-like. It's so lively and everything just pops out all at once. I especially love the sunset/sunrise. It really makes this wall complete. I also like the font style used in the text; it blends in perfectly with the majestic theme.

One of the best wallpapers I've ever seen! While scrolling for a new wallpaper I came across this. I absolutely love the coloring and lightning. It really peaks my interest. It provides the chaos of war which i love and the light at the end of the tunnel which I also love. Keep up the good work.

very nice wall beautiful scenery done enough for this wallpaper setting sun a lot, but VERY nice! *_____* the effects of light in the same proportions in certain all the mountains (rocky areas) worked very well, with the detail made possible effects of fire in land, although not as realistic equal to the setting sun, made up incredibly wallpaper itself the sky also gives a captivating, with nice effects tonz of purple with white, giving a very great realism to it, looking like a tempoestade is coming (or is it my impression?) that "road" was formed in the ground a pretty cool idea, and very well designed, incidentally. the only problem was the written words, which were filled with Efitam embassado, getting a little, but very little hard to read

but overall, an excellent wallpaper recommended ....

Looks great, not just as a Fullmetal wallpaper, but as a wallpaper in general. The hue of the sky is perfect, and the brightness in the distance shows that it definitely does not end here. The flames are simply Beautiful, and I think you put the words in the right place. He seems kind of lonely in the picture, which I'm guessing is the whole point of it.
