Yoroiden Samurai Troopers aka Ronin Warriors was the first anime i ever watched and was hooked instantaneously. I have always wanted to do a YST wall, and especially one with my all time favorite character, Hashiba Touma aka Rowen Hashiba.
Finding decent quality scans is quite difficult, but I finally found an aweseme RW site with lots of scans. Finding a scan of a naked Touma was indeed a plus. This is the original image, it was cut in 1/2 and needed to be vectored in order to be properly enlarged.

Hopefully my vector is decently done. Thanks Koharu and Tyson for all your vectoring advise and tutorials. They really helped.
The background is blue, representing the color or Touma's armor (dark blue). His armor is that of Tenku which is heaven/air/space.
I added in some fractal brushes to help give a sky-like effect and added bamboo to help show off the samurai part of Touma.

|(VcV)| Yeah, I am the first to comment!! I am in total aw! This is the first wall of Ronin Warriors that I remember seeing! I myself am in the process of making a wall with them.
As for your wall... great great vector! I'd love to know the site you went to to find this image. The are so hard to find since its an older show but totally loved!!!!! ... It all works together just great. You certainly are going to get a fav from me!!!

This wallpaper is pretty cool looking.
I like the background. But as the vector of the body is really good, the hair is missing some details. Why not use an other shade of blue to make some more details... It would probably looks a little bit better.
As for the eye it should be a little more white.
Note that the shading on the body is perfect except fot the spikes coming in front of the face...
Anyway this is a really nice wallpaper!

I fixed up the color in Touma's eye and teeth, made it a bit more white-ish, since after looking at it long enough, I realized that Zazou made a good point. +^_^+

After getting a spiffy new laptop (that will not crash with larger resolutions in photoshop), I decided to re-do this wall in a larger resolution (one that fits my laptop). I tried to keep most of the elements the same (from the previous wall). I did change the bg a bit and the font color is softer. Hopefully this version is as well liked as the previous one. Enjoy!
