Waah, I got to see it today afterall :3 It looks really cute ^^ maybe uber-cuteness and grayscale don't come together than well but you made it really nice ^^ and I like how made shadows and light, I see that original scan didn't had much of shading so you've doe a good job ^^

Fantastic wall! The shading is lovely, the background is very appealing, the text goes really well, and those flowers are nicely done. The fact that's it's greyscale too makes it even better because you notice everything you put into it. It did surprise me that's not that big of a resolution though. Definitely a +fav.

This definitely is one of my favorite walls from the first round... I love the concept! The monochrome worked really well too; as Deto pointed out most people don't wall cute in grayscale... esp Yotsubato I think, but this looks great. I'm not sure about the text overlapping Yotsuba, but that's it in terms of critique. I especially like all the subtle shading going on in the background.

Excellent concept. I fell in love with monochromatic wallpapers recently. Her expression fits with your idea perfectly and she looks so clueless with the plug. Even though you said it's not as detailed and complex, I personally think it's even harder to come up with something that is simple and yet so creative. Really great job. *thumbs up*

ps.: I don't think it is negative that this wallie is not that detailed as your previous ones, coz you managed to make an excellent job with this. Not only details can make a wall great - of course it is important, but if you have originality and ideas than a less detailed wall can be as much amazing az a detailed one without much idea.

I think with this wall you really can't appreciate the beauty and concept until you get it full view the thumbnail does not do it justice.

It's very unique I think it's clean cut and has a almost angelic shine to it. You kept it simple and tried something new which I always admire. The only thing I will say is I'm not crazy about the resolution I think it takes away from the walls structure and makes it look mushed a bit. I'm guess you were going for widescreen? I just think maybe if it was taller it would look better.

I still think it's a lovely wall tho :)

achromatic ftw! and [strike]we[/strike] you guys won! w00t! \o\ \o/ /o/ and omg this is such a brilliant idea. O___O nobody thought of it in this creative and yet very comprehensible way -- the literal used the watch/clock showing late time + sun in the sky combo; the abstract aren't as easy to figure out. xD everyone did a good job, but this counts amongst my favorites out of the bunch that came from round 1. ;]

she is so cute. *__* and unplugging the sun, lol! again, clever idea. the vectoring is nicely done. sure you didn't get to do as much detail as is typically in your walls, but this is still beautiful. i'm not all that fond of that rectangular gray shape there in the middle -- i prefer the layered bunch of organic/irregular shapes to that geometric one. those layered layers (lol) are pretty in a way i can't justify. i guess you're using those four silhouettes of her running on the left side to show summer? well, if i overlook the contest rules for a second, i think the wall would look better without them...even if they are somewhat helping to balance out the composition. the text is wonderfully done though. i like it. although my first impression is that the "n" in "on" seems rather far away from the "o". it could be a bit higher and closer to the larger "o", i think.

overall, great concept and smooth execution. and it's cute. so i will +fav. :]

Frankly, I did not know that this is a yotsubato wall until i click on the tumbnail to have a look at the wall...and now all I can say is ...the idea is cool. A very creative idea to make a wall with a combination of vector and text as the bg. One thing which made me like this wall is...it looks simple...even though with the use of vector and text as the bg, it still look nice and not very complex as if everything is cramping together. Nice use of the colour...very soothing and smooth...XD well...good job on that...and i really like this one :D

The black and white blends so well together with the vectored shadows and the character. The shades of black you used are not too over-whelming which gives this wall some heart warming feeling from the sunflower light (~_~)

o.o" Seeing a Yotsubato wallpaper in this kind of style kind of make me a bit surprised. However, your vector style is really nice, even with yotsuba as the one in the wallpaper (Oops, I love yotsuba so much :3)

I really luv what you did with this wallpaper. I like how it is simple, yet the shadowing and the lighting makes the wall seem really detailed. I like how you also used the grey scale for this wall as I might not have liked it as much if it were in color. The part I really liked about this wall was how the light is passing through the flower :D I love that!! This has got to be one of my fav walls!! Wow, I really love this wall!!|(VcV)| You really did a great job on this wall. What I really like about this is that even though it is not that complex and detailed, it appears so because you did such a great job on the shading and using the grey scaling. The only thing I didn't like about this wall was how you implemented the angled notebook lines on both sides. I'm not sure if it would look too plain if you took that out, but if you took the angled notebook lines out and perhaps did something else instead of that, then I think this wall would look superb!! But either than that I think you did a wonderful job on this. Keep up the great work and I hope you continue to create such beautiful wall pieces like this one.
