Hey there, peeps! Dark Nova here. I was planning on a wallpaper before and I failed to do it. Then, I found this COOL vector here, and I liked it. My friend haikoru-sama (or Haiko in short) helped me working this thing. It takes about 3 hours of PURE work. We used only a few resources because our plan is to make this simple. Brush here, and texture there. (sorry if you don't see the texture because it looks too dark.) Sorry if looks too plain for you guys, I'm just new to walling. I'm more into making icons and signatures. Observations, Critiques, Comments and Favs are welcomed.

**Haiko's part: Well, she did an important job in this wall. The color scheme, and the arrangement of the scan and the choosing of the textures are her duties to make this wall good. Complains? whatever. Haiko-tan's too lazy to change this thing. Dark(me) downloaded the resources and arranged and designed the brushes.
It's already our work. Please don't bother too much because we're not that perfect. We're just learning the basics and I hope you guys might understand it.**

It looks okay but the brushes around them really take your eyes off the characters. I keep coming back to all the swirls around them, I would've made those a darker blue. The girl on the left seems to pop out too much from the wall making her seem like she doesn't fit in. And overall I don't really like the concept you were going for, if there even was one. But don't think I hate it, it still looks nice but has some obvious issues.

I disagree with the poster above that felt the background taking too much away from the characters. The brush itself is a nice pattern, and the color is muted, not as bright as the characters. I suppose they could be darker, but I don't think it would add anything to the background to do so.
However, I'm not as sold on the color choice - more to the point, you have two main colours (blue and red) represented in your main characters, but only blue is mirrored with your choices in the background itself, meaning Lucia (in blue) feels like she fits in with the background, but Sumire (in red) does not. I'd have either worked some red into that scrollwork (such as at the tips or edges) or chosen a more neutral colour that didn't match only one of the two.
You also have some noise in the wall (between Lucia's ear and hair, lower left corner, the darker areas to the right) which don't fit well with either the crisp characters or the scrollwork. I don't know if those are artifacts from the scans, from the brushes, or intentional, but I would clean those up.
With all that said, this is still a good wall, especially if this is a first effort. The lacy feel to the background goes well with the goth lolita style that V vs V plays to, even if it isn't greatly in evidence with the character scans here. I also like the fact that you've used your scrollwork almost as highlights/outlines for the characters themselves, instead of filling the entire background.

I love that eyepatch! So cute ^_^ It is rather plain but there is nothing wrong with that, it's still very nice. I really like the background design work, very intricate.

Yes, the number of Venus Virus wallpapoer is quite low here. Glad that somebody maked one and congratulations to your first wallpaper. I'm not a too big fan of abstract backgrounds, liking more scenic or vectored ones, but faving it for the two pretty girlies. +Fav

Beautiful wall <3 you chose a very neat vector and did well on the bg. It's clean and i like that. Though i believe that purple would do better for those floral ornaments since the way it is now it makes all the red stand out a lot.
