Well, a few inspirations fueled this picture. Haha, bear with me here.

First of all, I was kind of reminiscing my high school days. I regret a few things, but not a lot. Ironically enough even though I had few friends, at least the friends I did have were good ones.

Secondly, my friend was complaining about how much excessive fandom that FF VII and FF VIII receive in comparison to the older ones such as FF VI and FF V. Those were his faves and he thought it unfair that just because they made those games were pretty much forgotten. I disagreed with him, as they're not forgotten, just not as popular. There's still some fandom out there of the older games. Regardless, I've enjoyed a majority of the games (eh, can't say I'm much of a fan of VIII, but oh well), and even though my friend is agitated that I refuse to dis VII along with him, I'm still a fan of it. Although X remains to be my fave...not including X-2.

So yes. This is the premise of this wallpaper. Pretend that all the FF worlds are all connected (I know they aren't, so don't rant. Keyword is PRETEND), and one person has traveled to and lived in all those worlds. These are the memories he/she has (judging by the comments, I'd say it's a girl though, haha). Basically, we all have memories; we hold many of them quite fondly. There are good times and bad (note the Aerith, "The Prince", and on a comedic level, the ShuyinxLenne photograph). And suffice to say, I was trying to balance out this wallpaper with as many of the games as possible and balance character selection. But because X-2 is part of the X series, it's leaned towards that...in other words, take each game for what it is. Don't like it because the villain is sexy, the hero is super powerful/cool/sexy, or because everyone else likes it. Each game has its negative qualities and also redeeming ones. Don't be biased. Like I am. Apparently.

Aside from that. Yes, I think Yuffie is the greatest FF ninja out there. Sorry, Shadow, Edge, but uhhh...no. I'm a ninja fan, but I must say Yuffie is my fave of all the ninja characters in any FF game.

Amazing collage of many of my favourite Final Fantasies!

An excellent balance on either side of the wallpaper and I find my eyes are not drawn anywhere in particular at any given time. There is an almost storyboard like feel to it that any person who has not played anything from the Final Fantasy series would feel a spark of interest.

I completely agree with the fact that it needs to be downloaded to be appreciated. I felt it had a very nice balance of the games..I, personally, have bought every system i own solely for these games...and am glad to see them brought together in such a nice wall..(though i was WTB a comment for the Tifa pic in the back).

Wonderful wall, its definately going on my 37".

and QFT to Yuffie being the best.

8)EWow, this is amazing Final fantasy wallpaper as my meaning.The pictures from this fast all characters looks very good. I like it you hvae all Final Fantays picutres put together and when somebody haveb´t play Final Fantasy, i think they would play it yet. Your wallpaper is as advertisement. But it look fantastic.

Wow. This one brings back alot of memories for me. Its well organized, and layed out. I also really like the caption idea. Adding those brings alot more heart to the whole thing, especially for those who know the games i think. It really does look like a scrapbook of images to me. Awesome work!!

I actually made something similar to this for my computer here at work, except with photos of things I want and things I want to do. Final Fantasy is timeless and this wallpaper shows that.

This was a risky but rather successful task. The collage comes together beautifully and you did a great job at making it appear like a photo album. I like the idea behind it to, of all the Final Fantasy worlds being connected. It would a great idea for a "good" anime or CG series. Awesome job. :D

I like the combination of so many different characters from different games. I like being able to see so many of my favorite characters together on one screen, there is no need to change desktop images from one game to another day by day, they are all in one!

Very creative! The Final Fantasy universe looks really great when presented that way; after all, there are quite a few memorable stories and characters. I especially like the one of the blitzball team, as well as Tidus and Yuna in the spring. I know that's kind of partial towards FFX, but that game truly does have a lot of those photo-worthy moments.

I also like the photo from IV. That is indeed a strange pairing...makes sense in the game at least. (Sort of.)

There's enough from the series to make a lot more of these wallpapers, and I would definitely encourage you to. This is one of the more creative FF wallpapers I've seen in some time!

This totally looks like something I would have thrown together on the front of my binder in school. I love the captions, it adds a bit of playfulness to it. Everything is balanced nicely. My only complaint is that while all the images look like photos, the one image of Rydia doesn't. It's not hugely noticeable though.

On a side note, I personally like to pretend that they're all connected (and apparently so do the developers, since we now have Dissidia). This looks exactly like someone went around snapping photos! I like that all the images look like actual photos instead of concept art. Nice job!
