Corporal Randel Oland, a member of the 901 Anti-Tank unit, the soldiers who disregard their own lives.
I loved the series and wanted to do a wall of Oland for a while, and nobody else had done one.
The vector and background both were done with Paint Shop Pro X The vector was by far the hardest part, which took around 8 hours and was traced around this scan. The wall itself took around 6 hours to do, although mostly because I couldn't decide on what I wanted to do ^^; The background was originally part of this scan and then changed a great deal to appear night, and in the middle of a battle of some sort.

PS. It's my first real vector, be gentle.

I think you did a great job on light/shading which makes this paper incredible deep. I'm still learning how to do that, so thank you for a lesson. |(o_o)

Oh the Corporal! You did a really good job on this, I like how dark the piece is and the nice eerie glow from his lantern. And you did a good job on the vector, especially since this was your first vector. LoL I still have nightmares from my first vector! So great job and I look forward to seeing more from you!

Great! It's been forever since a Pumpkin Scissors wallpaper; I love the moody colours and dark atmosphere, but I actually think that the wall would look better with more subtle text (or perhaps no text at all).

Fantastic job! I couldn't have guessed it was your first real vector, either! My only complain is the fact it's kind of too dark, but it's still nice and it works. Great!

It's a good wallpaper, but it's too dark, though the darkness emphasizes the mysterious glow of the lantern. Vector is done well and clean. Good job.

dude this is raelly an excellent wall, i dont know how i didnt see it before and how it doesnt have a higher ranking! i love the lighting and the fuzzy bg if there are critiques to make i would say that thicker lines with more character and flow would make the scene look more epic. and i do think a bit more lighting could help >D maybe soem glowy text but i love it!!

This is awesome, especially since I'm one of the few people (least of people I know of) who watched Pumpkin Scissors. Vitaamin is right about the lines to make it more epic, since this is the big epic hook and all. The lighting is good as it is, but I think there is room for improvement. I don't suggest brightening it up, but maybe light fog or glow effects and some cool text would make this even more win.

This has a wonderfully ominous look to it. This wallpaper actually turned me on to the anime, so thanks for that!
