X/1999 Mirotic

I already have a wall with the same scan in my collection somewhere but I'm going to download this one simply because it's as you say, a bit different. I especially like the sepia-like theme and the contrast between the red and grayish beige.

And being a sucker for more artistic, simplistic walls, I'll just add good job and keep it up! :)

I like your wallpaper. I also like the series. Now here my opinion, great job merging colors.Gray and red don't usually go together. Not much to say about Kamui.

The scribbles or scratches on the background were not overly done. Somehow, it suggest that the scene is inside a public men's room. (nothing wrong with that)

About the swirly hazy vortex at the middle, it sorta like gave a ripple effect. Like those dots were like sprinkle or droplets of water coming from above, disturbing the calmness of the bathroom wall below. Right now, I say very whether this ripple effect should have been placed on the left side of the paper, which somehow appears empty (which I am sure was done deliberately by our esteemed HikaruKawazoe because it was meant to be empty). If however the ripple was placed differently, I believe this will have a good effect for the center object. The dots seems to be a distraction for the center object. Yet another however, placing the vortex on the left side would prove to be a problem as well because that would ruin the emptiness effect and would also distort the scene.

Conclusion, the vortex was placed correctly, but the dots should've been lessened.

This relates to the placement of the text or lyrics. Since the vortex was placed beside the center object, then it just right that the text place thereof. About the way it was placed, maybe there is a more aesthetic way of doing so aside from placing the text on rectangular boxes. I am not saying that this is bad or gruesome. In fact, the fading effect of how the text and the vortex come across was great.

Overall, a great wallpaper indeed. 9/10.

I kept passing by this wallpaper, and I don't know why I haven't commented until now! I'm terribly sorry! DX This is really nice. I like the color scheme and your blending choices! It reminds me of of a friend of mine's style! I really like your use of shadows and saturation. :3 It's quite cool. I just think that the left side is a bit too empty, although it's nice for desktop icons! I wish I had a widescreen monitor for that! Anyhoo, I'm faving. Nice job~

I like this one, really interesting. I saw part of the anime, but I never watched it all, though my friend told me part of the story line.

It's beautiful : ) I've been searching for X-1999 manga for so long, but finally I found it ^___^ and now I thought check out, what kind of wallpapers there are in Animepaper. And now I saw this and I love it. : ) I love it how red comes out and that backround look so cold . . . <3 And I like the texture also.. ^___^

I guess the background and colors could be more... appropriate? But this somehow work, especially that it's quite clean one for this series, which I appreciate. Try something new next time :)
