To talk about this wall,well ,like my signature,finished on Nov.1st,today,but in fact it was started a couple weeks ago,due to my laziness,it 's finished by now. When I wandered on the net,for some good SLAMSUNK pics,I occasionally met this ,I guess it is a scan,though it's of a small wall's size,800*600,the quality is not good and the size too small for a desktop,but Rukawa looks so pretty,so I decided to make a wall out of this. See the scan RukawaThe main element,Rukawa ,is not difficult to vector,his lines are clear enough,color are not hard to manage,either,however,the sea looked a bit too empty when I drew it according to the original scan(for a small size,the peaceful water looks Okay,but when made in to a wall of 2048*1536,you can see nothing but a large body of blue color!),the water just seemed too static,too silent,though it's a peaceful view of sea,so I gave the sea water some light effects,which made it more like sea,I think.And the trees on the bank,as you all can see,they're not like the trees and houses on the original scan,I tried to vector these trees and houses on the scan but after 2 attemts I found it to difficult to make out the details because the scan so so small,I painting skill is very poor,in the end,I used trees in another scan ,adjusted it to the right angle,I think it looks ...though not that good,but passes muster. Time:totally around 13hours. Layer:Rukawa(vector)28,sea(10),bridge(15),trees(4),hill(3),sky(10),bank(7) Comments are always welcome.

the background is good but i think you could have added a title, but is a nice composition.

Wow... quite an impressive job you did here! Even though the background you made isn't exactly like the original, I think you did well. The water look just fine, so don't worry.. and those trees too! >.< I love it! They look quite real, but fits the background! Great job!

Rukawa! Yay. < 3

Im impressed with how you made the background. The sea looks awesome and the trees look good too. However i still think that the railings need more shading on it because it looks kinda flat at certain points. You did quite well on vectoring Rukawa too. But maybe you should've stuck with the black outlines. His mp3 player kinda looks weird too. I can tell that it's difficult to vector that part because it's not really clear in the scan. So in this case i think you should have done some reference on pictures of mp3 players and designed one yourself. It's a little more work, but it'll surely look better. ^_^

EDIT: It looks much better now! Great job on the revised version. Now this is going into my favs. ;D

Rukawa! Rukawa! It's great to see a quality Slam Dunk wallpaper again! This is great~ Your vector is nice! It's interesting what lines you decided to vector and what to exclude. The background is amazing...so beautiful! It's so bright and clear, and everything looks real! :D Fantastic job~ *faves*

Thanks! I got it updated with my latest version,yes I cannot agree more that the previous Mp3 looked weird,well..as for design...my painting skil reli poor...anyway I replaced the MP3 with one I designed(reference to some other MP3s),as you can see in this version,and you mentioned I could vector with black lines,I thought the problem lay most in his sweater so I darkened the outlines of his sweater,and added more shadows on the railings ,what do you think of of this one?

Ohh I haven't seen a Slam Dunk wall in ages, let alone one with Rukawa! Your vector is really crisp and clean, makes him stand out against the soft background (which is beautiful btw). Overall really nice wall, great job!

It's long time that I haven't seen WP from SlamDunk~ I think the BG can't match Rukawa very well, especially the trees,look like it's scaned from a photo. I think it will be much better if they be made in hand-painting. and the color of the sea is much too pure, gives unnatural feeling. Anyhow, I like rukawa too~ So, really a good job to do WP from SD~ Hope you progress much next time!

Your vector style is a very nice, the vibrancy of the colors really makes the piece have a next feeling to it. I'm somewhat tired right now so I can only point out that the clouds in the background contrast too much with the entire piece.

This wallpaper is good, but not the best I've seen from you. I think one of the best ones are the picture of Kaeda sleeping as well as the ones with him and Sendoh. Those were really good. Keep it up!

omg the thumbnail does not do justice to how wonderful this is and i think you painted the trees amazingly, aside from the one branch with massive leaves that kinda look weird. T_T i wish i could paint trees like you do!
