Beautiful, I'm glad that you chose and city scenery instead of natural one. It really adds depth to the picture and the title goes nicely with it. I like the dark contrast on the eva01. Anyway gj and keep up the good work.

Atmosphere much? Text is perfect, but I'm thinking it might look a little cooler if it was moved a little more into the wall balancing the black space between the edge and unit 1 instead of sitting on the edge.

Besides that ... simply perfect.

Holy. F**king. Sh!t. This is simply just too good to put into words. Three words I want to say: 'I need it'. The clouds are so...omg, finely tuned. The EVA is such a strong symbol in the wall, I can't find any words to describe it besides 'perfect'. geez...you guys keep forcing me to change my desktop =X The text is applied very well, though it can do with a little less glow =P Okay, I can't really say anything much about this wall, it's too 1337 for me XD +fav

I am definitely going to fave this wall and put it up on my desktop when I am able to! The scenery is very lovely and I definitely think you are being too hard on yourself by saying parts of it suck. The water itself reminds me of what its like riding the ferry in Seattle when its choppy, and I really like that natural cue that flows with the title, "Prelude to Destruction." Excellent work and I very much like how all the colors and scenery ties in with the theme.

I like the concept and the idea of yours. nice texture lookish. the clouds...aren't that bad, on the first eye it looks like clouds, on the second, it looks like a half cloud of explosion(fits the destruction part as well). you made the city pretty well... not bad, just kinda repetetive.... well yeah...the water....for me it was more like grass, but it's a nice try. great wallpaper with minor problems =)

Really like the lighting on the character. The color scheme works really well and the placement of the text flows seamlessly. However, I think the grunge textures seem out of place. After all, the character is flawlessly smooth in shape, color, and detail. It just feels like you could have gone with smart blurs and medians as opposed to noise and grunge. But it's your work and either way it is gorgeous, and I must say that I love the quasi-silhouette. Thank you for sharing this!

I'm generally not a fan of mecha walls, but the colors in the sky really caught my eye... beautiful job with that, as well as all the other elements in this wall ^.~ I agree with 'knees that slightly less glow with the text might make it better, otherwise... beautiful job with this XD, It's so nicely dramatic XD

Wow, that's amazing. I don't see the problems you mentioned in your description. Although you used stock elements the composition is brilliant and absolutely nothing bothers me on that image. I love the mood of the wallpaper and the lighting is greatly done.

it's a great use of colors for the background. But the things up close get really dark. And it turns black at the bottom right corner. (atleast on my comp it does) It would be alot better if the meca was abit lighter without lightening anything else. Great background though! ^^

The wall really fits the title "Prelude to Destruction". The darkness of the whole thing and the sinister-looking robot (I think that's a robot right?) just makes the whole picture look as if the robot is ready to strike anytime soon. The coloring is just amazing.

And I thought your "big blob of crap called a cloud" is really done very nicely, and it totally doesn't suck at all! Title-wise, the font is also very appropriately used...simple but has impact. A very good grasp of the lighting as well....I love this wall even though I haven't watched a single episode of Evangelion! Great job! =)

really high quality wall here...the texture and use of stock is almost flawless the scenery really reminds me of my FFVII wall but the lightning is simply kicking in this one. great work with the shadowing and lightning. The black part in the downright corner is a little disturbing. Maybe needs more transition from black to red in that area but that could just be me. great work

The entire atmosphere of this pictures really amplifies the "Prelude to Destruction" saying you've written of to the side. I love the coloring here and the scan you used is set amazingly within this wall!

The whole atmosphere with the sky and the dark city is so wonderfully done :) And the water doesn't really suck, but it was smart to make it a dark area around there. But then again, water is hard to make. REALLY hard actually since it looks smooth, and you have to find JUST that right technique to make it look like real ripples. (not that mine are good) Glad you didn't choose for natural too, since this bg fits the scan so much better - +fav!

I like the city landscape, its done well and math the eva. The overall dark look of it its nice, but the clouds look more like an atomic explosion than clouds, but in this scenery its good anyway ^^

well i dont think theres any problem with this wallpaper. its one of the bests ive seen and the clouds are nice and the city scenery too. im glad you used the city instead of the nature, cause the latter wouldnt have made much sense... i like the coloring very much and its simply a great wall = )

I don't like the texture you used on the sky parts of the wall; it makes it look more like a low-quality stock image more than anything. I think your better off going with a painted/watercolor look more than anything else. The text and the city look really nice, but the sky detracts from the rest.

Nice wall- the overall feel is pretty cool, and the colors work good. The clouds are a little too smudgey and could have been slightly better, but you did what you could I suppose. The grainy effect works pretty good, and seems to be popular lately. You missed a couple flaws in the scan ( I know because I scanned and have th original on my bookshelf), but it's not a big issue.

I'l just say it's perfect in any aspect. This wallpaper is very nicely done and has very good quality. The background colors are so well blended that it looks like a rainbow, at in the clouds. The title is very nice and goes well with the moral of this wallpaper. The cities and buildings in the background look very real and seems as if it's going to come out alive. The city skyline looks really good. The clouds aren't the best but they aren't bad(better clouds than i could make).

This matches very well with my Vista-styled stylesheet, in particular it being dark with lots of organge-yellow soft highlights. The soft-brush technique very much reminds me one of Pink Flyod's albums (don't know why I had that connection, bit bizzare). Great work, even the font fits very well with the whole wallpaper theme :)

Great decision, making it so big. I always prefer resizing things down rather than up.

Lots of nice neutral space at the bottom and left hand side of the wallpaper, plenty of room for desktop icons.

The wallpaper looks quite realistic and the mood is commendable. Having an evagelion with those colour scheme made it almost like it finish its battle and rest as the sun sets.

The cloud that was painted by you was good. The colour tone and matching has been done very well.

I actually like how the city was put in the wallpaper. Not too dark, sufficient enought to see. A nice rendering of the whole concept. Good job and thanks for sharing

Absolutely wonderful! You can call yourself a TRUE ARTIST. So many feelings anf thoughts conveyed in only one picture, unbelievable. As regards technical details, I must say that the lighting was done spectacularly. A great sunset effect was achieved. Thanks for creating such a masterpiece out of one of my favorite anime series!!

I like how the sunset sort of reflects off the shadow of the Eva. I dont think the clouds/water/buildings are bad either. Although I do think that far side of the big cloud is too dark.

Fore while now ,i've only been seein' good anime walls (this is Animepaper so nothin' lesser goes) . Still I was also longin for somethin more ... gues what - not anymore:D This wall is simply awesome ,great style ,coulours and scan /heck I shure ain't no artist ,but even if i was it's doubtfull i would find any flaws here .

It's absolutely amazing! Only thing I don't like is the "prelude to destruction" thing.

I like the words, but I remember something similar like that on wallpaper for Rei that just simply messed the wallpaper up. So, now, I have negative opinion about putting those phrases on wallpapers.

This is my first post here....

This wallpaper hits a cord with me. The colors are realistic enough. The title relates very well to the content.

It reminds me of an evening in 2001 when I was looking up at the dust and smoke rising from a hole in NYC one building away from ground zero...not to be a downer....it is that realistic to me.

It was likely not your intent, but the feeling this piece of work evokes to me, is perhaps a greater achievement then the technicals of the work itself or perhaps even the subject matter.
