Hello!
My brother runs this figure blog (happysoda.com), and he took these lovely photos of his Makoto figure from Kanon and I thought they were super cute. I had found a scan that was similar to the pose and thought it would be cute to do a wallpaper. The scan was only from the waste up, so I decided to just use his figure, this picture in particular.
I vectored the figure and then had to figure out a background for it. I took his idea of the fence and decided to do a whole landscape thing. I found a fence stencil and used that as a guide for the fence. I had to tweak it a little bit since the boards in the stencil were really flat. Tulips are my favorite flower, so I decided to add tulips. I just googled images of tulips and vectored them.
The mountain scape is from a screen shot I found from the Kanon game (unfortunately I cannot find where I put the screen shot, sorry!). I vectored and painted the mountains. I painted and vectored the grass, trees, lake, brick path and clouds.
The title is taken from the song Nice Dreams by Radiohead. It was the song that was playing when I finished the wall, and thought that the song fit the wall well.

My first thought was "oh .. another girl-on-a-landscape-wallpaper". But then I decided to full-view it and saw this artistic almost painting-like style to it. This makes it kinda different from the typical wallpaper. Even though it's more like a painting, it still gives detail to the expression on her face - and some other details.
Quite good.
p.s.: oh btw yeah - the flowers look also matching to the overall wall - good job :)

I like the way you painted everything, and the colors looks nice too < 3 The girl looks weird in some way though - she's too big compared to the perspective, and there's no shadow for her o_O
Still, a fave because you did a great job~

Your sence in paining is very sweet. You are drawing her respective attractiveness. Her pose is harmonized with her pure smile.

the clors suits each other and thats nice but my personaly taste say that this background dont really suits here but thats my taste anyway great wallpaper
