I must say on the thumbnail it looks awesome, to be honest the background turns out not so good. Since it looks like a painting while the scan of Lain itself is not. But overall I think you did a good job : ) Deserves a fav.

I love the mood that you placed on this wallpaper. The coloring and the background effect just matches the feeling of Lain. Only thing is that the scan of Lain doesn't have the same effect as the background. Other than that, you did very well on this one. I rate this wallpaper, and I hope to see more from you.

yes the thumbnail looks very promising but i dun think the filter u used it appropriate. Maybe a normal dark photo stock would capture the mood better! gj nonetheless

i like the blue color tones done here and the character looks great as well. though the effects here in the background looks off a bit when you really look at it. but besides that nice work overall ^^

Gorgeous wallpaper. Despite the fact that its only in monotone shades of blue the shadows and highlights are used very skillfully to great a stunning scenery. Not only does the damp blue set the mood, it also emphesizes on the character's expression very well.

I am not crazy about the anime, but I like this wall. The blue overlay that blends the background and Lain is looks good. Good job.

It's a beautiful wallpaper, definately one of the best I've seen, but it kinda has a flaw... Lain's hair thingie is on the wrong side. I guess the pic of Lain was reversed at some point. It's not a major flaw, but it kinda sticks out to a Lain uber-fan like me. Oh well, I guess you could say Lain is... um.. reflecting on her experiences in the picture =p

Really like the blue, sets the mood really well. Great composition and blending of the scan with the background. I think the difference in texture between Lain and the background makes her stand out a bit more, which works fine.

all in all I really like this one. I am not a fan of having titles in wallpapers. The mix of lain with the background was very well done I thought. It is unfortunate that the shadows oppose, but you did a good job with this one overall.

Yoshitoshi Abe is one of my favorite artists in Japan, and I've always loved the melancholy look of this image of Lain. I think the background works well, and the shadows are only an issue if you start looking for them.

I agree with some of the comments, the two opposite textures tend to throw you off. Maybe if you could have used a clearer photo or illustration instead? Or blurred the entire thing to make it more obvious. Other than that I like it. The colors are well suited.
