I made my first version of this wallpaper back in July of 2008: As you can see, it started out a bit darker and such... Anyway, I opened the file up this week (January 2009) and worked on it some more and got it finished finally ^_^

To make it I used brushes and textures and blending techniques and a few other little tricks... The title I chose, "Is it any wonder?" You might wonder what that's about, right? Well it's really rooted in the manga's story actually... You'd have to read it for yourself, but essentially it's a reference to the truth within our hearts and souls that compels us to act as we do. Some people tend to want to fight against that for whatever reason, to repress or ignore or control it in themselves or in others... and that has to do with the truth in our hearts and souls as well of course... but the simple fact is repressing, ignoring, or trying to control those truths makes about as much difference as shouting at a mountain and telling it to get the hell out of your way. It obviously doesn't do anything becasue the mountain will still be there, will not have moved, and in the end you'll have to either stay where you are, go over it, or go around it.

I have seen the ova's for this and I think their relationship was inappropriate, anyway that's just my opinion. The wallpaper is very detailed and I like the tone of it. It has the appearance of an old vintage painting, the brushes and textures blends quite nicely. I also like the color of the wallpaper as well. I refuse to grasp what these two are feeling, I've already state my reason above. Nice work!

Ooh, brown and grungy. :3 I like the textures that you used! So this was an older one that you revised? *looks at older one* Ah yes, your new one is much brighter! I do think it's better now. ^_^ Although, I think it's the scan...that makes it look, hmm, I don't know! Just not as quality. I think the scan should be cleaned up some more, or at least made to look smoother. Some parts look really really sharp, and I don't think that blends well. ^^ But I still like the color scheme and textures. So nice job! :3
