Yuji Kobayashi Standing in the Rain

We've been seeing quite a few wallpapers using this scan... This is number five, I think. It is done nicely. The white trees (reminds me of Advent Children) are a nice change. There are a few spots that are confusing in the pillars, though. Strange having those two species of trees in one spot though...

Wow, this a great wallpaper of Rei. She is one of my favorite characters and this is a very interesting pictureof her. Good work.

Its a very nicely done paper. I really like how you've tied it all together using white, it makes everything flow very well. Just a personal thing, but I thought that the words would be better suited in white to continue the theme, but yeah well done

your concept is pretty nice but i think everything in the background seems a little flat like just a bunch of natural brushes @__@.. try to put some depth by adding shadows ^^ it'll turn this piece into something really nice

I like what you've done with the scan.. The contrast between the blue background and white trees (and Rei) is quite striking.. Maybe the pillars could be darker, to add even more contrast, but the way the wall is right now is just fine too =)

its the first time i'm seeing this scan of rei ayanami. for neon genesis evangelion its quiet an nice wallpaper. most of the nge papers are all the same >.>i like the colours too...very well done :)

i kind of like seeing a scan repeated in walls, cuz if the wall is done well it's like seeing the image for the first time. I feel this way about your wall, it's really a NGE walll like none I've seen. My fave part about it is the grave stones that have another picture in them. The color scheme is perfect, I like the white trees. I can't find anything that is so bad that would make this wall any less great, it's a job well done, thanks for making NGE new again :)

Wow, really nice wall. The scan and the background match perfectly with each other and with the "In the Rain" theme. The scenery in the background is especially impressive with its detailed and fitting objects, such as the columns, trees, grass, and fog. I'm not sure what filters you used on them, but they look really great with their plain, solid colors, almost like the original image was like that to begin with. I've no words to describe how wonderfully they look altogether...really amazing job!

Using the same scan with new idea is good. The color matches perfectly.

It is really good as composition and I very much like the color. I can't explain it but blue somehow has a caliming efect on me.

Exceptionally creative, I??ve got to say. You took the image of Rei and really made it look like she was actually in a fine art painting (well maybe not exactly like a painting, you can tell it??s cg of course, but t still has that same kind of visual impact none the less); and it looks like she??s really standing in a field, the proportions and scaling are all right on. I also really like the color scheme, it??s very consistent and striking to behold, again, with a very nice artistic feel. My only small bit of constructive criticism is that the title text seems to be too dominate and a bit out of place. My guess is that it would look nicer if it where more subdued, perhaps moved down closer to the left bottom corner & made a light blue or something?

It looks good and in my opinion the white trees is quite original. Also I have never seen that scan of Rei before its so cute. Anyways GJ.

the words "Standing in the Rain" are an eyesore. Either blend them or make them a softer colour. Other than that, everything is PERFECT. I love the way you played with the background, making it white. Simple but beautiful. 4.7 out of 5.

Fantastic work on this wall, a wonderful usage of coloring and shadows give the wall a great look and make it a welcome addition to any desktop. i love the colors and how they melt together. i especially like how the bright blues stand out despite the overpowering dark blues. this wallpaper is amazing.

Whoa, this is probably one of the best Evangelion wallpapers I've ever seen. The colors are perfect and the girl(hated the series itself so much especially the ending that I can't recall her name at the moment...) I would still suggest that you do something about the edges of the tree though. They are okay right now but comparing to the girl's outline, it seems too painting-ish. Also, you might want to make the leaves smaller or use a different leave brush because they look really out of place in this painting like wallpaper. Otherwise, nice wallpaper, keep it up.
