how do i start? let's see...
------CHARACTERS-------- i made the characters by myself' >_<...easy in drawing, but hard on the vectoring' i realized the hair was very difficult to make, so i just put up a simple gradient' (i think it's ok so the wall wouldn't look too busy o_0) the hands were also a pain' so i made an effort to draw something "hand-less" like the girl with the pink hair and the red-head one o_0 i drew something with hands, but it's ugly especially the girl with the silver hair' her hands look like monster paws T_T
------FLOWERS------- i took the inspiration of the roses (the red ones) from an album art of my favorite band, Incubus, so i vectored it, but i lessened the flowers and stems, one, because the central part of the wall would look crowded and the characters would be blocked by them o_0

oh yeah, i also made another set of flowers, the purple and violet ones' i've never made something out of those color combinations' it turned out great ^_^
------MIRROR------ yeapp' i used a whole lot of mirror effects on this one XD i dunno what came into my head, i wanted it to look like some kind of a pillar' anyways, i did plan to mirror the girls in the first place' i really planned for them stay to one side to the flower vector, but that would leave the other side empty, so there; i guess you can pretty much figure out the rest.. XD

O.O if i didnt read the description i'd never guess it's oaa! the composition + propotion are pretty good from what i see and so ...symmetrical i dont really like symmetrical stuff but ignorin the nudity the art is really good+

Somehow this wallpaper seems to have a very nice and unique feeling to it. The quality is amazing and the idea is awesome too. The execution is clean, not too busy (as you said yourself), good coloring and sharp edges.
Overall definitely a fav for me! Thank you for sharing such a good wallpaper.

Hahahaha. Yeah, I thought that this wall would fit perfectly for a cover of a book but it also looks good as an album.
I love the concept and the inspiration that you took from Incubus.

Hm, I know that at least one of the characters is not yours because she's a popular Yuu Takigawa picture. And the girl above her really reminds me of the girls from Neon Genesis. It also looks like all the girls come from different styles of drawing, though my eyes may now just be extra scrutinizing. But I think should really credit the original artist, and not include her in an OAA wall.
About the wall, I think it's interesting and I really like the center flower piece with sky in the heart. I like the clean, gray background much more, because I don't think the mixing of thick, clean vectors and dirty texture look nice. The designs also look better on the gray to me. There are a couple more aspects that I'd like to critique.
The white-haired girl has much more detail in the hair than any of the other girls, and it makes me wonder she doesn't have bold hair either. She looks out of place, since she's the only "cute" character.
The black hair looks like a hole in the wallpaper because of the way that most other aspects are colored (not really on the gray version though!). Also, I don't think that there should be two girls with red-ish hair. I know one of them is supposed to be pink, but next to the flowers, I think it's too much.
Lastly, I think the purple border flowers look plain and don't fit in with the detailed black designs in the back. I think they need some sort of shading.

The details is interesting and the design is lovely. The white-haired girl seem to stand out more than the other girls. The clean background goes well with the designs and colors. But the borders kinda look plain.

The fact that it's an original piece already makes it worthy of a fav. Old paper never fails, does it? It evokes images like Doric and Corinthian columns; must be all those swirls.
You knwo what else this reminds me of? A spread from the Watchmen graphic novel. You know? The one where Ozymandias kills his would-be "assassin". I'm talking about the symmetry.
