Greetings Desktop Decorators!
I've got a really nice wallpaper here for you to use. I've created this for my Mother for V-day [2009]. It seems I just may be making her one every year and I hope each one gets better and better.
I've always wanted to make an MKR wall for my Mom and I can't exactly tell you why but I think this one came out really nice.
I got the 2 scans from Animepaper.net. [scan coming soon.] The one scan had both Umi and Fuu. Just in-case you were wondering. I used a few paper textures I have aquired from D.A. and google/yahoo searches. The 'lined' background came from an effect off of GIMP. I've never used it before but for some reason it seems to work here. I believe it was called 'Blind'. Then we have the 'brushes' from the wonderful and talented people at D.A. Now, the hearts in the background within the 'blinds' came from a Sailor Moon manga image I had in a rather good size. I was rather surprised at how well it looked. I did add a few more hearts because it just wasn't quite 'hearty' enough.
You may not be able to tell but that's the whole point that you don't. But I had to add in a part of Umi's hair. So, all in all I think I did an okay job. I actually had fixed Umi and Fuu but ended up putting Hikaru infront of it anyways... So, maybe its fixed for another wall.
So, this is the V-day wall of the Magic Knight's! I do hope you enjoy it. Its even good enough for an everyday wallpaper!
[And I haven't even given it to my Mom yet.]

Their traditional dresses are beautiful and graceful. The magic knights are enjoying japanese traditional festival? Their respective colors in their dresses are soft and natural.

Background is interesting a suits, but the characters are not enough good in the matter of the quality. I don't say that you need to full vector them, but a little vexeling would improve the quality rapidly. A much better way as to try to hide with texturing.

Nice composition, but this wall falls apart in the details. The background is crisp and a little too sharp, but the scans are blurry (which flattens the wall... monocular cues dictate that backgrounds are blurry and foregrounds are crisp and detailed). The Hikaru scan is particularly a mess... what happened to her outlines? I like the color scheme used here, but the green hearts clutter up the wall, and the flowers surrounding Hikaru Umi and Fuu are flat and make the wall seem even more 2-D.

OMG! Lovely! *-*
Angel-chan, I liked the wallie a lot! This image is so beautiful... They seem like a painting1 *-* My only comment is that the girls are kinda "blurry" (but I like that =D) though, the background is "sharp"... I don't know if I've been clear... =P
Still a nice work! + FAV!! =D

Very cute wallpaper - I like how you kept the background neutral so that it didn't detract from the girls and their kimonos.

I really like the background in this wallpaper. It is very simple and doesn't detract from the girls at all. I think it almost adds to their presence. It shows them off well. I think I can sort of tell where you touched up Umi's hair, but without searching for it I would never notice it. Overall, great work.
