The clouds you painted are just breathtaking! they do catch my attention =) The colors are sweet and chosen very wisely =D Great work indeed, I appreciate that kind of works without a doubt! Good job on the clouds; they look really nice. However, the clouds are painted in a way that clashes with the way that character is colored. To me, it looks like there is almost some kind of texture on the clouds, but the character looks like she had the shiny-blur effect added to her. Mixed together, the two make my eyes a bit uncomfortable. I also have a couple more points on the girl:

I don't like how the skin's outline is light while the dress's outline is dark. I don't think having a lighter outline on the skin makes her look more realistic. Rather, I think they have the opposite effect. I'm not sure why. Her arms in particular look really soft or bendable like... a soft plastic? Sorry, I'm not sure how to express what I think, but I guess I could say that she doesn't seem to have depth and the light outline also make the blur harder to look at. She doesn't pop out and have an impact on me despite her being the focus of the wall.

Also, the colors used on her are rather dull and grayish. For me, color is really important in expressing something. She is so happy, yet her colors remind of me dark clouds. Basically, I am saying that I think it would have been better with brighter and perhaps more saturated colors. People generally correlate bright colors with happiness, right? And I think her active expression would match a crisp outline, though that doesn't have to be.

Altogether, I don't see her as "a person" but just a picture on top of painted clouds. That may sound confusing, but even in drawings, you can feel for the characters that are in it if they are portrayed accurately. But here, because of the differences of what I think the character should look like and what you have shown, I'm am not taken into the scene. I don't mean to sound like a crazy artist, but that's how I look at art.

your shape layers are decent, and you seem to be getting a grasp on making them. and as luna said the clouds are good.

what i'd like to see from you in the future is vectored lineart, instead of stroked shape layers. it's a lot more time, but when you start to get the hang of it, vectoring will be a lot easier for you and your walls will improve in quality a lot. also, you might want to do a little research in color theory and lighting.

akiranyo used to follow the same method for vectoring as you do, and just recently changed to vectoring lineart (through a little prompting), but when he changed, his very next wall was at least twice as good.

it'll be nice to see your vectors improve.

Wow, about the background. I love sky backgrounds and I have to say that you did a really good job on that one. I'd really like to know which tutorial you have been using. Maybe you can give me a link ^^

The wallpaper has a calm look for me and I like that. But I also have to say that there are some things I don't really like. Overall the vector of Shirley is really nice done but I have to agree with luna about the colors. I think a more colorful dress like red, pink, orange or any other eyecatching color would have worked better. The current color looks really grey and gives Shirley somehow a strange and depressed look.

I also think that the wings would have looked better in white color. This pic of Shirley is so cheerful. The grey tones of the vector somehow ruin a bit that wall.

I also have to agree with luna about the fact that the background and the vector of Shirley doesn't really merge very good. This might be because of the grey colors.

i love it! the background looks very pretty,so do the petals. its a very beautiful scan and to see just how clean you made it look is great. bright and beautiful! great job!

I must confess I don't understand why you think the scan was poor quality. Maybe you might have used the extracted image instead of drawing your own one. Nevertheless: your drawing skills are quite good :). I like the wallpaper as it is.

Now still I'd like to point out some things that I thought about when full-viewing the wall: as some others already said: the skin is too soft. I think if you tried to apply a heavier contrast between the light and dark part of her skin (this goes to all parts - not only her skin, but her dress etc.), you might achieve a better effect. The shadings you added seem to be quite correct and support the basic vector pretty well. Still.. I really wonder why you said you vectored and painted her and didn't extract her from the scan as the girl on the scan looks a bit more realistic (if you can use that word in anime-context at all).

Maybe you should have stayed true to the anime concept and outline her arms and her mouth as well as use darker colors for the nose and eyebrown lines and the hair-outlines.

Still: good work and I couldn't have done it myself (yet), though I might have tried :). But I don't watch Code Geass.. so maybe there's a reason for everything :D.

You never miss the backgrounds! They are all very impressive, and this clouds are just great. But, this time, you don't hit the right colors, mainly in the character. They're good, but seems very weird, and her arms are to much blurry.

But it's a nice work. =^^=

Your vectoring skills are very good, besides the clouds. How impressive ^^ Her position is fine and she looks like she's enjoying the freedom. My criticism is that I agreed with the shading and the coloring of the clothes. Your shading is quite weak, her colors are quite dull.

The title in the wallpaper is drawing her tragic and dramatic situation.
