Kara no Kyoukai Slash your Soul

Somehow the white layer in front is kind of flat and doesn't quite give that sense of depth. (More highlights/color variations maybe? Also not too crazy about the vector swirls on the right side. It sort of disrupts the grunge feel of the rest of the wall.

Otherwise the mood and colors are perfect. ^__^;

Really good setting for the female lead of Kara no Kyoukai. I actually haven't seen her use a sword before, so that's interesting. I've seen a few of the movies thus far though, and they didn't interpret her eyes as red ever -- that's the main thing that bothers me. Still gotta be accurate the series, but then again, artistic freedom....

I really love the grungy style and colors. The color choice makes the wallpaper very elegant just with a grunge feel in it. The girl looks stunning on her fierce red eye.

Yay for another KnK wall! I like the grunge, red eye, and the colors here. Though the cut-off sword at the top kinda bugs me. And I kinda agree with puppychow about the white grass...the depth is kinda funky. XP But it looks good overall. :)

Hope you are better now, mate. Hmmm, looks like walling of Kara no Kyoukai with vector & grungy combination is popular recently. Is a very good wallpaper with great atmosphere. What could be better in my opinion is the full character, when not needed I don't cut even a single pixels down from the character. For me the grass is not that a problem, contrasted wallpapers are good once for the time. Maybe I'm a to perfectionalist person, but the first letter of the title in the wall is barely visible...ehm...throw stones at me, now! In overall great wallie, which will have a respectable place in my collection. +Fav

Very very nice composition. Too awesome to say much. Probably +fave would.

Excessive use of photoshop brushes makes this wallpaper look not as together as it could be. It could have been just as successful or better without the grass, and with the wavy swirls more apparent - you could have just used an enormous swirl on the bottom making the same amount of white space as the clumsy looking grass.

All in all, however, I do enjoy the tone of this piece. It also has great catch value.

The thing about using grass to help "crop" a scan is that it looks lazy (like, this isn't a full-body scan, so how do I compensate for the lack of anything below the torso? I know, I'll use a grass stamp!), especially when it comes up as high as it does in this wall here. However, I'll let this one slide since it blends stylistically with the rest of the wall, and I could actually see this character out in a field practicing sword swings or whatever. I might change the grass to a different variety though... this looks like your typical backyard-variety blue gramma... perhaps using a grass that's known to grow taller (e.g. wheat) it would look less like she's standing in tall grass and less like she's buried up to her waist with 1' grass around her.

However, excluding this grass species issue, the white grass is overall a nice choice (esp. how it's blurred to add depth), and the white butterflies (?)... they're visually interesting, but a little odd at the same time (in a "why is there a swarm of butterflies in the grass" type of way). I do like the white "swooshes" that come from the right, and the white firefly-like white orbs on the left. I'm not a big fan of the text... while I think something does belong there, "slash your soul" is weird. I would take the text out entirely, and the butterfly too (or replace it with a butterfly that looks more like it's actually flying rather than resting on some invisible object).

I am not familiar with the series. However one look at this captivated me. I like the light feel that seems to be portrayed while keeping the serious tone noted in the face. It does seem a bit bright to me for some reason.? but with the great blending of colors and style there, I wouldn't change it. Well done

Normally I like colorful wallpapers, but the few colors present in this wall fits nicely and sets the mood very well. It feels like there's too much white in the bottom left corner though, or it's just my monitor having very bad contrast...

Nice job! A wonderful KnK wallpaper. Ryougi Shiki is one of my fave characters. This wally perfectly fits her! I like the colors you used - it's like in a dark night practising in her garden while the wind gently blows. The white grass is a bit odd, maybe a dark-green woud be more fitting, but overall it's ok. The 2nd thing to mention is Ryougi's "colorless" left hand that doesn't fit the image. Overall it's a great KnK wally, effects also fine! I like it! +to faves.

I'm sitting here staring at it in awe thinking HOSHIZU! It's so good. It's like all kinds of amazing. I think it's damn near perfect. Really the only things I can even find to complain about is the butterfly being a little to stark should have been softened or something, and the left hand's position looks kinda awkward but really those are just nitpicking at your awesome skills... I am in awe. You can tell by how incoherent this is.

Shiki!!!!!!! Definitely one of my favourite female characters of all time... she's my goddess. XD Very original wall, although the grass pattern at the bottom seem a bit messy, which creates an imbalance between the top and bottom portions of the wall. I might suggest adding some elements to the blank portions of the wall as well just to make it seem a bit more plump, although... that might make it even more messy... hmm.
