I got to say that this is the best unique wallpaper I've seen from Haibane Renmei. The photograths seem to connect together to form a image. That's very creative and extraordinary. The background is very simple, but the letter and blood technique is very nice. It all blends so good together. It makes me have a visual pictures of war and love, just by glancing at this wallpaper. Very rough and faded textures give this wallpaper a very clean look. A great blend of brown, white, and gray. Keep up this work and effort, Gideon!

Great job! This image is a overused image, but the way you cut out the pieces made it look so unique! The atmosphere is compleatly captured. The picture of the wing is a bit too faded though. It looks almost as if the picture was photocopied onto the page, but you can tell it isn't because of the white border. But really, amazing!

I like the way you gave this wallpaper a broken love letter theme the colors and tears of dried blood really set a deep emotion for you picture. The choice of using a light brown color goes very well with a sorrowfull fallen-angel theme without cotaining the hint of gothic that most have. Nice Work.

I haven't seen the show, so the photos don't mean much to me, but the background and the blood look great and I mean it. The color of the paper and the stains look very realistic. the blood doesn't exactly seem to have the right density and opacity, nor does it seem to be absorbed by the paper, nevertheless, I like its toned down color, as if it's older blood. And nope, it doesn't look like coffee :D [faints]. Keep up the good work

The aging effect is nicely done! Coffee stains or not, they add well to the effect. One thing I didn't quite like was the background which seemed to want to suggest piles of paper, but never defined itself. And if it was a single piece of canvas with possible folds in it, it doesn't justify for the angles of the text.

Otherwise, I really like the effect of the wallpaper!

this is one very good masterpiece. I really like it. it's very subtle and neutral. Not to mention natural. because it was never easy for me to actually make a picture of a background when I do any artwork. Just started on this series, and that means a new desktop is needed! I must admit that I'm a bit of an impostor here on Anime Paper, not being very artistically minded. (truth be told, even my stick figures look as though they should need crutches) That being said, I do very much admire art and those who have become talented enough to make it. I can't critique this paper such as others here have, but I really like love it, and it will probably be on my desktop for quite a while. A subtitle but stunning wallpaper.

By simply placing segments of a often used scan for this show into pictures you managed to stand out in the crowd. Everything in it from the angle of the pictures, to the stains on the wall feel like they belong there. A really great wall and deserving of a feature.

Most of the time the front page doesn't really reveal any interesting or relatively new that I haven't seen a thousand times before, but I'm really happy to finally see this come up at last. It's beautiful, and I've always loved the artwork of Haibane Renmei. I can clearly see the noose that you're going for, very nice use of the stain, very reminiscent of that character. Thanks for the wonderful wallpaper, even though I'm posting this, what, 5 years after you shared it? :')
