This is absolutely breathtaking. I thought my favorite part was the gorgeous hair (best hair I've seen yet in this vector style), but the more I look at the eyes, the more I love them. Then the background catches my eye; it's so detailed and soft.

Everything fits together perfectly and nothing looks out of place. Everything is so gorgeously detailed; you didn't forget anything. Nothing to nitpick here at all. Absolutely perfect.

man this is my favorite wall of yours because of the colors, love the faded almost negative space look and you've really pulled everything together for this one. i probably would have liked the eyes better darker BUT i totally get why you left them that way

i have like.. the tiniest complaint ever and i feel retarded for mentioning it, but the vein/blood(?) running down the petal in her mouth is distracting T_T, i wish it had more color variation or maybe dripped in a different way.

Wow .. I normally never fav anything if I faved something in the last 24hours .. but this .. well I faved another top-3 wall today, but this wall is just so awesome, that I can't hold back. I love the vector/painting combination a lot! I am a big fan of Vampire Princess Miyu - especially TV is nice (didn't read manga as I don't like reading at all - no matter what). Miyu looks great! I really might like to borrow your vector (of course only if you'd allow) to experiment with it a bit. But to the wallpaper: I like the vague background - it shows her fragility (I hope there's such a word). It shows how powerful she is and yet how vulnerable - which you can see in the TV episodes very well. Hence: this is a masterpiece and therefore worth lots of +favs!

It doesn't look flat although it's vectored. The colors of your wallpapers blend well (because I like soft-colored wallpapers better than dark ones). Honestly speaking, I haven't ever added any wallpaper as my favorite but this will definitely be my first one ever! And perhaps it'll be for a while until I designate another one. This is one of those walls that you click on because you're innitially attracted to it, then fall in love with the more you study it, as opposed to finding obvious flaws then clicking the "back" button. I can't say anything positive about this wonderful creation that hasn't already been said. I especially appreciate your in-depth process pictorial because

a) it shows how much work you truly poured into this peice, and

b) it makes it seem like image mastery is actually an attainable feat for those of us who might get discouraged instead of inspired by such vastly superior work.

Boo on people complaining about "thick lines" [#]-(-_-) what do they know? But moving right along, this wallpaper looks beautiful! Well, that's a bit of an understatement, really. <3 This is hands down the best Vampire Princess Miyu wallpaper that I have ever laid eyes upon. I do think that using thinner lines was a good choice for this wallpaper because it helps makes the piece look more delicate in the long run. The soft painted flowers combined with her intense stare have a really powerful effect. It would be shameful not to favorite this |(n_n)|

This is really extraordinary I'm really surprised that this one didn't get highlighted as well as your last one. The composition is so perfectly balanced with the flowers and facial expression I think the soft pallet and colors are graceful and how with this you can really sit back and take in all the work this has in it. Her face is so elegant and magical this is such an old anime it must have been hard to make it look so youthful yet keep it's classic appeal. Magical and whimsical soft and almost soothing this wall has it all. A++ and a fav really wonderful work. :3

This is such an eye-catcher. It's totally amazing. Looking at the hair, it makes me wanna touch it. The vectoring style is so good and the eyes are mesmerizing. The background is quite attractive too. Color combination and everything about it are just super.

about the wall.. i really adore the way you vector and paint together... i still havent tryed mixing the two techniques... i usually vector the hole image or paint the hole thing (though i dont have much painting experience cause i'm being lazy, specialy when i start thinking about the outlines.. a pain to paint them straight..xD) i should start trying this way of vectoring with masks, though i'm Not very familiar with how they work =P (lazyness again to discover new things lol)

I really love the way you use colors, and your mixture of painting and vectoring is so OMG! And Miyu here is so beautiful~ I think this is one of my most favorite wallpapers on here! There's just one little thing that I want to mention and it's that her mouth looks a bit like it's floating. Maybe if the edges were softer, it would look more natural?

sorry sorry. xD;; in the blink of an eye, a month has gone by. i barely noticed and i was barely here, so that's why i'm here so late. inactivity comes too naturally with a busy real life and a clean walling break.

the way you "translated" that vertically oriented scan into a horizontally oriented wall is really cool. the soft background is quite well made, although the yellow stamens feel too blurry to me. i mean, the coloring on the flowers and leaves are very soft, but the shapes are still quite defined. the stamens are just blurry. but damn, that hair turned out amazingly beautiful. < 3 the smudging does miracles, lol. when it comes to detailed vectoring, you've got the hair nailed. the eyes are probably the only place where you can still make good improvement, not to say that they aren't pretty already.

anyways, it's good to be back once in a while. and time for a new +fav. ;]

When I first saw this drawing I thought it was an art by Naoko Takeuchi.Anyway, I saw the original scan at minitokyo, and your wallpaper is better. It's as soft as the original, but with much more vivid colors. I like this combination between brown, gold, red and green. Her expression is so intense! Awesome job, really.
