After working on this wall for about 3 months, I'm finally releasing it to the masses. How to integrate Rakka into the bg was something that I struggled with from the beginning. And after finding the worn paper texture I finally had my answer.
The vector itself took approximately 10-20 hrs (i think) and the bg went through too many ideas to remember.

Good integration of the wall and the girl~ I like the soft colors you chose for the actual shape integration (the soft blues, pinks, from the white into the brown). It's a very abstract piece and I just now noticed the wings (when reflecting back at the thumbnail) haha~
What a pieceful looking wall - she looks like she's sleeping even though she's falling. And what a nice haiku ^^

I love the way she blends into the background - it's so natural yet effective. It's a good thing that you held off for the paper texture, because it adds a lot of depth.

Lol, I saw your shameless advertising in the Paper People group. I did spot this wall before, but I couldn't be bothered to comment because I think this wall lacks expression and exitement. This is definitely not a bad wall, quality-wise. Let that be a fact. The problem is that the scene is just odd. For some reason it doesn't feel natural the way Rakka is facing down, since you don't actually see any motion. I wondered if the wall looks better upside down, but then Rakka's face looks weird, lol. Anyway, another problem is that the character doesn't really blend in with the background, but doesn't stand out that much either. This results in flatness, which is not good.
All in all, this IS a decent wall, I really love the background, but the scene is just too unexiting.

Ehem same as GA.Shameful act (XD) I think the wallpapers quite nice.Okay i agree its not great but its nice.Firstly u should throw that sig in the bottom.It catches most of the attention so its better if it remains at the bottom of the wallpaper.Then, the texture u used is good but actually if u look at it closely it looks like some carpet *cough* no offence.But the scan and the brushes and concept and design etc is all fine :) Hope it helps ^_~

I really like the style of this piece and I cannot really say much more in context of the anime because I have yet to see it but gods does this give me another reason to watch Haibane Renmei
