The whole snowy scene makes the wp wonderfull to look at, this is also a good example of how sometimes stock photo's work well together with anime stock =) Maybe the characters need more blending but i don't think it's anything bothersome, well done ^^

This is really nice, I can't say much anything about it except it would of been nicer if the trees had more of a form to them but even without that it looks really good so in the end great wall!

I love it! Mahou Sensei Negima is so awesome...though I've only read a bit of the manga. Very well done job on the colouring! + fav, and I don't mean that lightly. This is only the second wallpaper that I've added as a favourite.

Nice wallpaper, but the stock photo background does not blend in too well with the anime pics. Perhaps if you alter the background colour a bit more the contrast would be less.

Nice photomanip :3 and excellent text work, as always XD ...Adding some shadows might help ground the characters a little more, even if it's really faint :3 Nice though, you're on a roll with recent submissions! XP

The back is good, but its too plage, if you could had paled the characterson the front with a low snow fall the effeect of char+back would have worked better, otherwise tis a great wallie!

Strange how nobody thought about using some of those Japanes traditional buildings (like that one in ur background) for their walls:. Till now that is :). Well i didn't saw any?

I like this one, it's got an excellent concept and looks very nice. You need to blend your characters a bit more in the BG though, right now they stand out too much. Try some blurring using copied layers or some over textures, right now the characters are too sharp and the BG too artistic and soft to work together. With a little effort this could be a magnificant wallpaper.

For a vector, you really did a great job coloring it. I know how hard it is to get the right colors. This wall is awesome, I just wish it was widescreen for my computer, Great job though.

well i really think that this is a good wall but only a good one... the characters need a lot of blending as i can see some have already said that ^^ but i really dont know how to help you there since the scans and the bg are different qualities ^^ but if ya ask me this wall would look a lot better without the characters... if its not a problem can you remove the characters and just send me the link of the image ^^ that would be great ^^

I think the background is much too realistic for the characters. It just doesn't work. No cohesion at all. If you were to cartoonize the background a little more, then it may work out but as it stands it looks awkward. Don't let my criticism get you down though, if you put a little more effort into it I think it can look great.

Coloring is AMAZING. Though I'm not too familiar with this anime, just by looking at your wall here is making me want to search it out.

The lettering is very nice - nice japanese touch on them. And that sword just looks destructive in her hands.

You have done really well with re colouring the scan...however I dunno...I think the stock photo looks too real..so it doesn't blend too well. -Shira

Beautiful wallpaper. I have never seen the manga myself, but I like how the background and the snow ties into with the simple text and the scan. I'm actually interested in reading the manga myself now, because the wallpaper doesn't clash with the artwork nor does the elements of the wallpaper detract too much from the original piece. Instead it blends in well with it, making a very well balanced and exceptional wallpaper. Great job!

the way u manipulated the photo is really nice ^O^ u might want to blend the characters a bit more by maybe adding some shadows. the colour work is really good though ^^ i love it i love the fluffy effect on the ground where there feet touches the ground.. its a really nice touch ^^

THis wallpaper is amazing!! Very perfect on the rendering and composing. Some complain about the contrast? i think its not a problem, although i wish there were more big snow effects near the character. Definitly a favorite!!

OMG! awesome wall! especially the bg. (I see pinkish streaks over the white on my desktop for the upper part of this wall...but it's probably just me and my monitor) love the idea of the temple-ish kinda building and the trees. The characters mite need some more blending in with the style of the bg, especially the girl in the middle (hehe ^^; don't no this anime so I don't no her name). otherwise, this is a job very well done!

i like this one a lot the only thingis that there should be more balance in your colour placement...the eye naturally draws itself to the darkest oint it thebn moves accross to the next dark point and so on ....there should be some amount of colour in the bottom left corner...thats my suggestion...still looks pretty od tho...good enough to be a fav as well :D

i actually like the contrast between the background and the characters. It's only a bonus that i'm a fan of the manga/anime. We're getting our first snowfall today so this is perfect. :)

All I see is a filtered stock with an extracted scan and text slammed on top of it. Very simple and the elements do not seem to blend in nicely at all. the text looks good but, like flyin said, the characters have no shadowing on the snow, and that only adds to the fact that they lok like theyve been cut out from something else.

Like you, I also really love the armor (and in fact all of the costumes) in the original scan, and thought that they would be great in a wallpaper. Your concept is a very nice one, and your work with retouching the scan was very well done. However, like many wallpapers that use stock photos, the contrast in colors and styles between the foreground art and the background photo is a bit jarring to the eye.

In my opinion, a little more work on the background (anything from adjusting the colors to better complement the foreground to a something extreme like a complete reworking or even vectoring) would bump this from a good wallpaper to a superb one.

wow... this is the product from something you had to colour in yourself? ... that is incredibly well done winter's pretty much over here, though there's still snow outside, and I love negima, so this'll be my wall for a while to come, a great job with both the finish product, and the idea that their clothing would make them fit well in a snowy setting, in all it seems to make the image more surreal and pleasant since none of the colours jump out at you too much. anyways keep up the great work!

I have yet to see this anime but I certainly didn't know the characters looked like that until i saw your wall hehe. I think you did an overall awesome job on the wall. Great job coloring the scan, and i think you blended the scans in quite well with the background. i really like the soft wintery feel to everything. The only thing i can think of improving on is that maybe the tree on the right could be more clearly defined, beneath the fog, just to show more of the sense that the characters are actually in the setting and not on top of the background. I picked that tree because I figured it would probably be the one positioned closest to the characters, or i.e. nearer the 'front' of the scene/'closer' to the viewer. But even so, I think the whole wallpaper is nicely done. Thanks for sharing =)

I just love the snow. The wall looks great. I especially like how the characters are bright/glowing - it looks like the snow is reflecting light on them. And also how their shoes are in snow (but if you look at it one way, it looks like they are in water..;;). I'm also surprised how the traditional looking palace in the background goes so well with the European suite of armor. Great wall:)

I really like Negima, and the background looks nice how the characters are focused instead of backgrounds unlike most of the BG's you seen on the site. My only complaint is lack of a small shadow and the text for winter prelude is pretty big (I dunno if it's just me but I don't like large text's on wallpapers.
