The blurred background looks ok in the thumbnail. But once i fullview it, it does seem too blurred in my opinion, and it could've been slightly more sharper. The shading work on the face looks good, but some of the paintwork looks sketchy. Like the black lines on his lips and around the accessories that he's wearing. His hair is lacking depth too. It needs more shading like in the original scan. Overall i think you pulled off the skin tones nicely, but the character needs to look less blurry at certain parts like his hand and more shading would be good. It would be really nice if you could apply the same painting style that you used in your previous Tifa wallpaper. The paintwork looks more well defined in that one and blended well with the blurred background. =)

Lovely painting as usual, Sashinka-chan < 3 Still I feel that the wallpaper is too blurry for my taste =/ and if there are thinner strands the hair will look better...

Anyway, keep up the good work and it's nice to see you creating more and more wallpapers :D

I'd also like less blurriness and more shading on the hair and bringing out the character more, but I still think you did an awesome job on painting the scan. Plus, he looks so hot and smexy you just have to love it. XD

ah i love this alot! but his hand shouldnt be so blurred and the parts on his hair as well, it takes focus away from the center object as oppose to drawing attention to it i also would have loves to see you paint more of this, just because it was such a detailed scan. also, not sure what original size this wall was when you were painting it, but it kind of looks like you painted at the size that the wall is so i just suggest doing these things at a higher resolution in the future. this will help really get the details in and the less blurred feeling

Did you use some of the hair techniques from that tut I sent you? 8D Looks kinda like it. Hehe. Though I will say that the hair still needs deeper shadows and brighter shine to give it the depth it needs.

I wanted to paint this one...or something...some time, but I guess I won't. *laugh* Maybe a different one. :) Anyhoo, it's different! You painted well, though I agree that some parts look too messy or shouldn't be blurred. A little more details here and there, and it would be perfect! ^^ Still, I'm faving cause again...I've also loved this scan. X3 Nice job!

I like the effect of the blurring, although I agree that it could be less in some places, like the hand and top of the hair. But the painting is great and I just love the eye. Great work. :)

Your painting is so beautiful, it's flawless, I also love the different textures you gave him there way better then the original scan. The colors are soft yet so flattering to him, and I absolutely LOVE the hair god it is dang sexy. :D It could use a bigger resolution but other then that it's perfect. Great job. A+ and a fav. :)

However, I can't help but to say one little thing: If you ever make this wall again (I don't know why you would) make it... sharper. Detail is divine, and it would bring this wall farther than you could possible imagine. Particularly on the hair. I know it's hard, but if you could add more detail into it, this wall could not be described as anything lower than brilliant.

It retains the feel of the original scan, the same gorgeous colors and subject matter (of course), but also has a feel all of its own that can't be reproduced, thanks to your work on it.
