Thats my favorite episode of the series and good job on the vector, and definite good job for doing it in photoshop.....me and the pen tool dont agree in photoshop to say the least, illustrators a different story though :P.

Just a thought since this is a crucial part of the series you could maybe put some of the dialog he says around that part in there to give more of a dramatic feel, just a thought though

Nice vector but I think its a bit too plain. Yes, I love the simpleness but its kind of too simple :O. Nice job anyways.

He is burned in white like Ibuki Jo. Tough lines and simple colors are drawing wonderful harmony in the wallpaper.

I think you did a neat job on this,it's top quality image,and I like the sketchiness... But,you should have made something more with it,it looks kinda unfinished to me,like adding more variety in color or some textures,this way it is kinda plain...

i stopped watching gurren lagann for a few days after watching this episode. I honestly felt that the series was on the

road to oblivion now that Aniki's dead.

In retrospect, it was a very brilliant move. Hey, why not have the coolest character ever die so early, in the most

unexpected fashion, in the most unexpected moment, just when the fans love the character so much already?

Now the viewers were emotionally hooked. (T_T) It's the same move that made FF7 so phenomenal.

Very nice job on the vector work. The sketchy detail is what got my attention, once again great job.

I've always loved images with heavy pen-strokes for shading... it's such a classic comics style. I think you did a fantastic job vectoring this image and retaining that penned sort of look - makes for a really striking and great desktop! Love the subtle gradients too. Keep up the good work! :D

The most important point of the series! I have so many screencaps of this crucial moment (now i have an awesome wallpaper too). It was a rather brilliant move in a way to have that 'type' of character die early on in the series. Such a good series.

One of the coolest yet saddest part of the anime, Simons big brother got mortally wounded but still in his dying breath, being the man that he is developed a killer move that worked. Too bad he died at the end, but he went out with style. This picture captures that last moment very well.
