Good work on the scan extension. I see that you've kept most of the elements in the original scan such as the patterns (which is one of the main elements that distinguishes the art style of Zetsubou Sensei between the art styles of other animes). So good job on recreating that effect. However i think the outlines on him should also follow the color in the scan which is a slight dark brown. It seems to blend better with the rest of the wallpaper compared to the current black which seems to stand out too much. Not quite fond of the pattern on his hair too. Seems a bit awkward. A simple gradient would look fine, or maybe just a different pattern. But everything else looks fine. =)

His head looks like a cracked Century Egg whose eggshell was apparently painted black to match (if that makes any sense); but that's why I love it! XD It matches the patterns you applied. I also agree that you did a great job on the scan extension, because I've noticed you've preserved the concave perspective of the original scan quite nicely :) However, I do wish you'd use a classier font for your signature/title, to match the whole origami paper feel... and since you widened the cliff that he's standing on, maybe you could add more detail/shadow to it [particularly to the cliff's east, west and south edges] because it looks a little too bare and takes away much of the depth you worked so hard to create... I'd also like to see more of the slippers, could you bring them more into the picture? They're undoubtedly a nice piece of symbolism that you could well use to your advantage ;)

Don't jump Zetsubou senseeeeei! You really chose a great scene, I like how you vectored the orginial (rather small) scan. As for me, I like the pattern on his hair as well, sensei can't fall into despair without it. Great work.

Being a total sucker for patterns gotta say this one looks pretty awesome! Amazing reconstruction of the scene. The outlines look a little too jagged and a bit strong, maybe if the color was lighter it would looks better. Same as the pattern on his hair. Doesn't fit at all. Other than that, I love the fact you've kept the original patterns 8)

Similar to Ciello, I'd like to see the slippers; it's a shame it gets lost by the taskbar! Otherwise, I still love this wallpaper. Excellent work on the extension!

Nice idea of extedning the scan and the wall quite good and refreshing.. I just dont like the pattern on his hair and also think that the pattern on his clothes should have lower opacity since they are kinda too strong !! (like the oiginal image)

Uwah so cool! The style is very unique with all those patterns. Reorganizing everything from the original image so it fit a wallpaper must have been hard. Beautiful work.

I like that scan you used! But I think using black for your line art color wasn't a good idea. It's too strong in comparison to the pale colors you used elsewhere. Gray would have been a better idea. Also more details in the rock would of been good too. The way you have them now makes you rocks look flat and just covered in random shapes. Good job with the rest of the background though :D

this is simply fantastic. The colors and perspective are what makes this wallpaper truly stand out, and they are not trivial things at all. It's quite novel to combine both a very standard ultra-flat look with a fish-eye lens sort of perspective. The one thing that bothers me though is the dotted/starred pattern on his clothes. It kind of feels like it doesn't fit in with everything as well as it should. I think it may have to do with the light/white/grayish color of it.

The concept is lovely, I especially like the water text too.. it's so strangely nice and very matching with the anime style! Thanks for the hard work

I only noticed today, after having this wall for 4 days almost: the tear mark subconsciously makes the observers focus their viewpoint to the the center. Was it done intentionally? Was it supposed to stand out, or to implement mind control!!???

Very good. As many have said, the use of patterns fits the series. It's not that the piece doesn't have enough depth; it's that it plays with the concept of depth, resulting in something we're not so used to. I like it.

OMG why didn't I find that wall earlier. oO I'm totally in love with sayonara zetsubou sensei and so am I with this wall. I like the whole composition, everything fits the style of the series pretty good, especially the typical texturing you did on Itoshiki-sensei's vector. Also everything is vectored pretty good and clean. This one is straight going onto my desktop and you'll get a fav for sure. ^_^
