< 3 the painting i wish u'd colored those silhouettes of butterflies i can't help but think the grass isnt that fitting//////needs deeper grass [readmore]grass too shallow to cover teh nekidness[/readmore] the gray and the the trees in the back are fine though overall i think it needs more saturation i like what u did with the butterfly on his back and sort of a reflection there and the fainted tatto on the face above the flower

Lol nice work on editing this from the original scan. I love the additional butterflies that you placed here. The grass also looks pretty decent to me. =) The only thing im not so fond of is the hair. I preferred it to be in the same style as the one in the scan. It currently looks a tad bit too smudgy. =/ Glad you added the textures here though. It looks better with the textures. 8D

lol. I had fun just reading the description for your wallpaper. Already entertaining enough just reading that, but the wallpaper is really cool too!

I like the choice of vines and grass. There are no problems in my opinion -- it fits the scene perfectly. Trying to envision the wallpaper without the trees in the background, but the background would probably be barren. The trees do look much better in the textureless version, and in fact, I prefer the textureless version. Much more color and contrast in the wall (for instance, between the trees and grass, the hair, richer feel -- esp. for life). Of course, do what you will! It looks great either way.

Fun idea with the excerpt about your character. However, where's the explanation for your title? I'm not 100% positive what it means!

First off I looooove this scan >< but what you did in the background is so pretty and really brings out the original picture I really love this wall and the more I look at it the more I love it! You did an amazing job and good luck on the contest ^_^

Love the final outcome! Bah, and it would've been weird if so much work turned into something bad, huh? The fact that you added shadows to the black butterflies make it even better, they looked kind of flat and awkward before :\ Now they look like chocolate or autumn leaves <4545234 And, of course, the butterfly near his hand is epic love.

Oh, and I just spotted the reflection of the butterfly near his shoulder! :o I love that I discover new stuff every time I look at it! You are SO wrong. The textureless version looks as awesome as the textured one (at least it's what I think :D) *saves both* Now, after seeing the textureless one, the hair's color is very different from the "normal" one o_O Almost as if it's a different wall!

Really nice one here! I like you style of painting here, it's something. About the hand, I think it would be better with one. It looks like he'll grab the butterfly. The butterflies are nice, especially vectored. 2 weeks of making? I think that's worth it.

I'm not too sure about the trees in the background, but the bishie is much < 333 +favs

i really love the concept going in this wall, the fullview does much more justice to what you've done. his positioning towards the butterflies is awesome but the foreground i feel could use more work, he kind of just looks cut off because the grass lacks details and perhaps placed strangely. they should be blurred but i think some lines/details would help define them as in front as opposed to behind and i feel like there needs to be some more light/colors somewhere on the wall to more accurately portray your idea of him bringing color to the world--and i think if you bring a TAD more cyan to the bg (like in textureless) it would make everything blend better either way. so maybe a point of constrast in the middle or some more of those lovely green vines that you have going on >D

I like the texture version better! 8D I do think that the bluish green color of the grass in front doesn't match so much...maybe use a more foresty-green. Interesting painting there, but I think it could be a tad cleaner and smoother (especially the hair - and with more highlights! :D ) since it seems very sketchy, though if that's the style you want then don't mind me. XP Good to see you making more stuff.

Man once you show the whole work in progress you really get the full effect of all the work you put into each an every wall you make. Well first off I think the guy is gorgeous I love the way his hair feathers his face it's so feminine hehe. Also his eyes seem so cold but the nature and beauty around him make for a softer character. I also love how you always give such a deep resolution the bigger the better I say ;D. Secondly the colors are fantastic, the sky is so gray and lifeless but the butterfly's and flowers give it a almost healing effect over the atmosphere. And lastly it's made by you so of course it's good! :D

Although you say you struggled with the BG, I think you did a good job with it. I personally like the colors you chose for the background, they work great with his skin tone and the butterflies.
