I love traditional styles as well and the textures you used are so elegant and just to die for! I think the soft autumn colors are warming and mix well with the fire red in the kimono. I think it's so simplistic, yet detailed just the right amount, it has a sophisticated balance. Very beautiful work and I love the link to the bigger resolution that really closed the deal for me. A++ and a fav. :P

Fuuka's expression it's just perfect and I love the way you added the birds and the shrine, so simple yet so great. Thumbs up for the patterns and the texture, really one of the most beautiful wall I've seen on AP in a long time.

It's a beautiful wallpaper, the textures are excellent and its simplicity made a great wallpaper, but the letters on the left, I personally don't like text in wallpapers if it is not part of the texture, but it for sure one of my favorites.

Roughly sometime around the first week or so when this was submitted, I fell in love with this wallpaper immediately. While I've only seen the first episode of the anime series itself, I found the imaged used of Kafuka to be incredibly peaceful, far different than the energetic personality she seemed to display in the first episode of the anime and immediately fell head over heels with this Japanese style wallpaper. I had planned on commenting within the release, but due to complications and a overly hectic life I was never given a proper chance to comment. That changes today!

There are very few things in life, between music, art, movies and writing, that really allow the individual to close their eyes and imagine themselves in that moment of time completely. A medium that allows an individual to see all the sights, hear all the sounds, feel the ground beneath their feet, and to smell/taste the atmosphere. Every since I first laid eyes on this walllpaper, I could close my eyes and hear the sound of the birds flying off in the distance. I can see the vivid colors of her kimono and feel the crisp air upon my face. I may not be critiquing the wall, but when an image can allow a person to experience such sensations simply by viewing it, that speaks for itself.

Honestly speaking, I see the background and I could see this a beautiful wallpaper to put in a house, or if someone wanted to be really creative, a painting that stretched across an entire room. Everything works so well together and has such an oriental feel to it. The only thing that takes away from it, would be the text right next to her. However, I completely understand the purpose for having it and it hasn't stopped me from using it on my laptop. It's a favorite from me and suddenly makes me want to go to Japan.
