Yes I am back from the dead at least for a little while. I have had this wall done for about a week now and just did not have the courage to submit it. I have kind of lost faith in my skills and I am waiting to get illustrator. But my best friend convinced me to submit it, more love for mononoke. Even though I do not like this wall. About the wall. I started the vector awhile back and put it off to the side to do other things. I did not even have to think of an idea this just came right away. I know in the anime there is no shading but I wanted to add some to make it fit more with the smoke. I suck at shading I know I do, please no twenty thousand comments on how bad my shading is. I tried. I wanted to stick with a simple background so that it would not over shadow the smoke, and I do not like bright colors so it came out darker. Anyway for what its worth enjoy.

this image is pretty cool! but i have to say that there are a few issues with color that if you sorted out would make this a really fantastic paper. the face is too dark and make everything just blend in and the smoke has a weird blur that im assuming is meant to make it somewhat glow, but it would have looked much better in white i personally think the lines are a bit too messy--i know you can do better than this and i think it would have been great to see colored lines since this will help the vector blend into the patternedness >D

I think I agree with Vitaamin's comments made on your wall, they're similar to what I myself thought of when first looking at it.
That being said, I really do like the concept you have going for this piece. The smoke you've created is awesome and I can see your creative juices flowing in this piece. I'm glad you had the courage to submit this eventually because overall it's a cool wall. I hope you end up submitting more pieces :)

very good indeed but i think the color is too soft (o_o) you could have used more contrast ^^ the smoke dragons are a nice detail nice work ^^

I think he needs some shading...a harder one anyway...and also some thinner lines...but I love the dragon,it looks smooky as it should be :D +fav
