Great work. The soft colors and great composition really make this stand out.

The combo of the yello and purple is a nice contrast...but the accent of the reds adds so much. I know this is going to sound lame, but I am highly impressed with the Torii on the left. I saw many shinto shrines in Japan, and that brings back memories. It accents the mountain view (a place of beauty befitting the kami) and the wind blowing effect ads an element of peace...but its cold. I'm not "feeling" that there is anything wrong with where your character is, but perhaps he may be dreaming or longing for something different, or remembering times past.

si nce this would be more of a critique on art as opposed to wallpapers, i'll probably be focusing on that more. which may result in me being much harsher. but please don't take any offense to it, it's just suggestions. i really love the sketchyness of the drawing. i'm always a fan for sketchyness. also, the colors are really nice as well. limited palletes are always a plus. the perspective isn't awful, but drawing it freehanded, especially in photoshop isn't so much an excure for perspective being off. you don't need a ruler to get it right. but since you know about the perspective, and seem to at least understand the idea and how to do it (unlike most people) i'll leave it alone. the depth is really nice. the way it fades out into the background...i've always liked that. gives more focus to the front. i think the black ines in the front could have been toned down a bit. making them a really dark brown, or a really dark purple or something usually helps it blend in better. right now it seperates a little too much. you also seem to randomly lose her legs behind the fence/railing. even some subtle hint-lines would have been nice. and now i'm gonna just mention a technical gripe. the second red pole...the middle one. i know you used photoshop, so i know it wa sthe spacing of the brush, but it really bugs me x_x the rest of it is so smooth and that part just jutts out. i'd go back and fix it.

ever try using painter for the digital art? i'm just getting used to it, but i find it works nicely sometimes, especially with the feature of being able to change the texture of the paper. :3

The fact that this is an orginal art itself is amazing, but what you did with the background and the FEEL it has to it...simply magnificent. Simple and calm and easy on the eye...there's nothing out of place. This wall is too perfect for words :X

The colors are just beautiful... For you to make this from scratch just puts this wallpaper up to one of the higher-level ones. The little shrine in the mountains really doesn't fit... But that's not that big of a problem.

great work.... I just don't like the art style

Such an awesome wallpaper! It's such a difficult technique to draw and color it like this in Photoshop; at leat it is for me! The color balances are also very beautifylly done! The only thing I can possibly add is to change the resolution to a standard one (1280x960) for example, and maybe lower the blackness of the outlines of your character; but on the other hand, it stands out more of the surroundings this way. I am adding it to my favs! <3

amazing that this is original art...the detail, color and style are so impressive it's at once simple...with mainly the purple white and slight red...yet has so many levels of depth I like how the black outlines are used in the foreground before fading off...(although I do find the outlines of the flags to be a little standoutish because of their central location) All I can say again is remarkable use of color strokes

An impressive original art wallpaper. Impress by the desgin and the concept of the wallpaper. A serene and well selected colour scheme makes the wallpaper very unique. The purple and white as main colur scheme really makes the wallpaper veyr unique. With touch of sunlights , man, that's wonderful feeling to it. Thought I think there should be more yellow on the right side since the mountain would receive the sunlight as well.

Addition of orange in the wallpaper makes the whole wallpaper stands out. Really impressed and like it a lot.

Nice design for a original wallpaper, I know how hard it is to make one. I absolutly love the perspective of this one showing how far the mountains span backwards. Also showing the temple's height. Absolutly a masterpiece.

WOW IM JUST AMAZED i like the snowy and the temples the colors are just wow looks really good keep up the good work.

From the skull on the balcony to the character's expression (which seems to be calm, melancholy, or sad) is extreme. Great use of coloring, everything flows well together. I also like the mountains and the temple a lot. The papers on the string was a nice concept as well. I can see this was very well thought out and that's also the reason it's so good. Nothing I can say that is bad about it. Except maybe making the sketches even smoother, but overall it's one hell of a wallpaper. :)

Oh wow~ It's just like a real painting! I love the splashes of muted red all around the painting. The different shades of all the snow and the pale white all blend together nicely in a way that is very aesthetically pleasing! I'm a huge fan of snow scenes, as it were, and this one just makes me smile! Amazing work, keep it up!

Very beautiful and a nice mood to it too. The thin black around the character and foreground works nicely to bring them out of the rest of the picture. Not much, but just enough. Very cool style too.

Awesome contemporary look to this one, I do think that there could be a little less purple in it though. You do show a great deal of dimension in this and the character must have taken a long time to draw. Original art is the hardest to make so kudos for that.
