Both the scans of Maes and Roy came from various scans in the AP gallery. I like each individual's pose and so extracted them and tinkered with how I would want to use both scans in one wall.
Since Maes and Roy are the "Dynamic Duo" of the FMA world, I wanted to do a more upbeat/cocky/good times wall as opposed to focusing on the more sober and reflective piece of the friendship.
I have seen this quote in various places and with various spins to it, but this is a version that I liked...that used appropriate language for a general purpose wall +^_^+
The motivation concept poster is similar to one I did with Inuzuka Kiba and Akamaru.
I created the sand dunes from scratch using various tutorials for reference, and decided on the desert backdrop since Maes and Roy solidified and strengthened their friendship on the battlefield (in the deserts of Ishval).
*EDIT* Re-did the sky--took away the clouds and went with more of a blue-hued gradient.
*EDIT* Fixed the typo of "freind" to "friend". Thanks HeartagramElf for picking that up.

They are always cool and handsome. Their friendship is strong and pure. Simple detail in the wallpaper is really impressive. It make them be a little cynical.

Best friends are for weddings. Anyway, a fun concept to use a motivator as wallpaper. The characters are still a bit rough on the edges and the background is a bit too simple (also cheap photoshop effects are used). Keep on practising and the quality will go up ;)

Long since I saw a Fullmetal Alchemist Wallpaper uploaded in the galleries. The concept is nice and nostalgic at the same time. I agree it's not Roy's best angle, but he's handsome anyway :P The background looks good as well :)

Very nice job removing each individual character and placing them together. Sometimes that can be very difficult, and the wallpaper suits the characters perfectly.

I love that quote and every time I hear it Maes & Roy was always the friendship that popped into my head. The wallpaper really suits both the characters and the quote, its awesome.

The basic idea is very good, but as GoldenApe said the used effects in the background are rather cheap and very obvious. By a good wallpaper you cannot name a single used effect.
