I'm not dead. Just floating... [har, har, Pink reference] Anyhoo, yeah, this is some sort of warm-up wallpaper, so it isn't my best, I totally understand. I haven't been up to walling in a long while, and so I'm not sure how much I'll do anyway. ;__; Things just haven't been going well, and working on wallpapers and art just makes me feel worse, which is why it's been a few months since my last one. I started working on one a couple months ago (June), but then I quit. I'm going to make that one a collab...but who knows when it will be finished, lol. I go back to school in less than a week, so the college schedule will kill me. No fun. So anyway, that's my little spiel on my "absence" and on the not-so-greatness of my wall here. .__. Sorry!!
First off, not my VECTOR of Estelle. That's all thanks to ManaAlchemist (I wish I could claim it as my own cause it's so good!). :D I was parusing the ToV category and noticed that that vector was just submitted! And I couldn't resist~ I was too lazy to do any vectoring of my own, which is why I used it. (thank you!) I really liked it. ♥ I've been playing ToV nonstop lately, so I wanted to make a wall from it. Though I'd rather make one of a smexy Yuri... Um, and like I said, I've been too unmotivated to do any vectoring or anything, which is why I chose to use that! ^_^ [If it's there, why not, right?]
I did add some of my own details to the vector though. I wanted more depth, so I added more shading, highlights, etc. [to her face, hands, outfit] and I gave her (crappy) wings!
Then the bg...again, pretty simplistic. Just brushwork of the clouds, different blues and purples/greens for the sky, and then some bird shapes I found on dA. Again, not TOO much work. >>' Added some textures from dA, too (cause I love textures, sorry). This only took me a few hours tops to do. I'm working myself up (trying to) to actually work on a full wall myself sometime soon. I need to get out of my mental slump first. So yes, I think it's pretty good. Not great, and I don't care about the rating. XD I wasn't even going to submit this here, but why not? Eh. So feel free to badmouth it all you want, give suggestions, favorite, and I'll love you all for it. Comments/faves are much appreciated! :D THANK YOU! ENJOY!

Kudos to the vector maker, they deserve a lot of credit for a fantastic image. Nice use of textures and simple background to complete this wallpaper. You have a good eye for concept and choosing quality images to use!

Coloring in the wallpaper is simple at first look. However there is filled with your delicate and natural sence. It is drawing her true attractiveness in her smiling face. Yellow little wing behind her back is a little comic. She is an cute angel in heaven I wonder.

For some reason, I'm not a fan of close-up walls but this one looks really cute!
I think the simple, nature BG matches well with the character as well as the colors. Love the textures, too though I kind of think white wings would go better with the overall color composition than yellow ones... >_>;
And I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or not, but that one black spot on her shoulder; seems like she forgot to make a curve while vectoring? >_>

The textless version is alot better, looks clean and the texture filled makes it look dirty. I like the vector, it's nicely done and the lines are great~ I love colored lines ^^ My only real critic is on the bg, the clouds are a brush so they're grainy look makes the wall look low quality. I think you should try making your own clouds and experiment more to get a more clean, smooth look in your sky. The birds are a nice idea but the way you placed them makes them look crowded, the vector takes up alot of the space so remember to not use so much in the bg to lessen the crowding it forms. Hope that made sense and helped, nice job :3

Pretty nice wallpaper you did with my vector. =) I'm really sorry though =( , i just noticed that i had uploaded the vector here with some strange extra black near the outline on her shoulder which inkscape strangely adds when i try to export it all the time, but i did fix it so here is the fixed version if you want to fix it in your wallpaper too. http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/884/estelle01.png

She looks so angelic and happy! The colors are fabulous and I really like the detailing you added to the vector, you gave it life and depth it looks so beautiful combined with the birds and the clouds. :D I also like how close up it is because once it's on your desktop you can really take in all the beauty and detail. You did a awesome job. Just because it's not top rated doesn't mean that you didn't do a wonderful job. Sometimes it's the best work that goes completely unappreciated. A+ and a fav. :P

great wallpaper! You did a really nice job of making the eyes look alive and emotion conveying (matching her face's expression very well). Plus her hair is really cool too, the background colors really balance with the color well.
