Pandora Hearts Cradled In Darkness

Oh yay! You finally uploaded it here! I love the fade-out darkness and the splashes of red. The details in the hair are very nice too. I do think that her face doesn't quite look the same as in the scan, but I do prefer your "colors" and contrast. :)

I definitely like that poem up there, really meaningful. Vector is a nice one too, especially the hair and the roses, and the ripples too. But the eyes, for me, I think the eyes will look good if they were there.

Pain in red ribbon and loneliness in dark background are very calm and silent. It may mean her deep sleeping or isolation. Your drawing in her dress and hair is really delicate and graceful. They are flowing gentle and natural atmosphere in the wallpaper.

Nicely done... rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... normally I try not to flip out about this kinda stuff.... but I have a minor obsession for violence and darkness. Thus my username "Blood Shadows". I will certainly agree that this is a brilliant piece of art and I believe it deserves higher than a D, but you can't change what has already been done. This kinda art brings back memories from a dark but entertaining part of my life, and it really makes me happy. Anyways, enough rambling on about myself, the eyes could be included to the image to make it nicer but then again, maybe it is a different effect that can be desired.

Beautiful wallpaper as expected. I love the ripple around the flowers, really neat touch. Beautiful water effects all around. The gray and red color palette is amazing, nice range of gray used. You're a real pro! Have a humble favorite from me!

I really love this wall. The attention to detail you put in the vector work is something I haven't seen in a very very long time. I've always loved this scan as well and it's refreshing to see some talent work on such a lovely piece. My favorite part is the fading of the dress into the water. The vector lines and the thought you put into that is the best :) I think your interpretation of her expression matches wonderfully with the literature you have going in your comment. While it's nothing like the original scan, it conveys a darker feeling which is excellent for this piece.

I realize you felt you got lazy but I do have one criticism that I think might be helpful if you're ever up to messing with the wall a bit more.

I think that from that perspective, I'm a little concerned with the hair's fade into water. I think a bit more contrast and fade (similar to the way you did her dress on the bottom left) would really really make this piece truly astounding. Also, I think that if she were actually in a shallow pool of water, the water level might be closer to her actual head... rather than where it is currently. Unfortunately, that would take away from the detail you put in her hair, but I think it would make a greater impact overall. Similarly, if some of the water level reached the farthest part of her back (that's fading into the darkness), it might also convey more realism and impact.

Overall, this is a grand piece and one of my favorites from you! Great work :)

The roses are really well made and the water is pure win. I really don't know if there are actually any flaws on this wall. Glad to see another piece from you. ;D As many of the others have mentioned, you did a great job on the delicate vectors and the blending of the character with the blackness of the bg. Love the inclusion of the roses too. It really brings in a nice touch to the wallpaper. The only thing that could possibly be improved on is the water effects. I did'nt notice that she was partly submerged in water until i saw those ripples around the flowers. I think you could've improved the water effect by applying a slightly more darker shading on parts of the hair to make it look more like the hair is floating around in water. ;D Beautiful work nonetheless. The hair and the dress must've been a pain to do. D: So you deserve a well earned fav! =)

Wow. The colors on the wallpaper are the perfect shades of red and monochrome. Everything looks like it blends perfectly, especially with the way that you use the lightning to draw attention to the woman. The scan also looks gorgeous and matches the theme of rose petals very well. I love the ripple effects on the invisible watery background.

Only issue is the foreground falling petals -- they look nice, but I think the effect could've been improved if they weren't only on the edges. They don't match the falling effect I'd imagine, but that's just my feeling. Still beautiful regardless :P!

Anyway .. You should have worked more on the water to make the environment even richer and you should have made the eyes other than hidden them because you were too laze (you reminded me of myself back in my lazy days)..

But overall i really think you have done a great job in this wall, it's deep and i like the way you made the petals stand on the water.

This. is. amazing. I can't state this enough. When I look at the wall, all I can think of is "Wow, this actually looks quite like a crime scene photo" and that is pretty cool because it's a concept I've never actually seen utilized before for a wall.

The vector work is perfection, the coloring is on the level of genius, the roses an inspiration and the whole monochrome touch for everything else (roses and ribbon aside) is fantastic. This is actually a beautiful piece of art.

Oooh, such a gorgeous dark wall. The details on her hair are absolutely amazing. You did an awesome job with the water and the dark BG, too. I don't really mind the fact that you hid her eyes because it adds up to the dark, gloomy atmosphere but something about her lips looks a bit...off to me... *shrugs*

Anyway, overall, you did an awesome job on this!

Even without any more additions the LEVEL of detail is simply AMAZING. Really. Personally I think it looks great with a full black bg, gives it such a erm....an "Abyss" look? XD

In as far as how this wallpaper was treated, I think you have done a great job, although it does have this digital feel to it. I think though that its weakness is actually its choice of subject - a girl in exactly this pose, in that dress, with hair strewn like that, lying on water with petals falling on her - it could just be any odd anime girl!

Hm...We always see same Alice paper...Some need stuff is necessary...Whatever, this one is the best I've seen I guess...

This wallie is really beautiful. Looks even better than the original scan, with her hair covering her eyes and the roses and the ripples.
