Wow, its my first reaction. I love the vectoring, I wished i had this type of talent, oh I need much needed practice. I love the contrast especially the mixture of the black and white wiht the red. Maybe its me but this reminds me of some old graphic novels, about spies and the mob; maybe similar with sin city novels. All i know is that this wall is really awesome. Love the effect on the title too, the text layering over the title looks reall unique. Overall, good work! ++ fave.

Let me start off by saying I hate vectored wallpapers, and I hate black + white + red wallpapers (it's always red, bah). Furthermore, in my opinion, almost all of the DeathNote wallpapers in this site has never come close to doing the manga any justice.

But what you've created... I absolutely love it. I've been going to animepaper for several weeks now looking for a wallpaper that surpasses my standards, and I believe yours has done just that. Finally, someone who realizes that the best scans came from the chapters themselves! Ugh, and I just can't get over the captions. It fits the story so damned well! It's only a shame that the poster's text is covered by Ryuuk and the shadows. Although some of the blood splatters on the wall seem out of place (like that patch of blood on the tip of the S), it still works well.

Another little suggestion I might make is to make the shade of red darker to more closely resemble blood. A dead body or a bloody hand-smear, perhaps? Hehe.

Excellent work! Hopefully, this is a start for more well-made death note walls.

I am digging this wallpaper. This kind of style that uses only black and white as colours and plays with contrast reminds me of the old american comic books of the 60's/70's era, and as a more recent reference it reminds of Sin City's style. Really slick. My only small complaint is that the splatter at the top seems a bit randomly placed, and also, if the splatters are meant to be blood splatters, I would have used a darker tone of red since blood isn't that bright, but I do understand that you probably made it like it to increase the contrast even more. And no, you're not losing your touch or whatever you might think, just keep doing what you like and give a sweet middle finger to the public opinion. :P

Wow. I dont know what to say really. I really, really like this. I'm happy you decided to Vector teh scan because it really worked out. The whole Black and White came out awesome as well. I especially loved the Blood Splatter over Death Note. The Red blood spilled font caught my attention dramitically and went real well with teh Black and white. The Posters words are in Depth, whicb i couldn't be more pleased about. The brick wall definently added a nice touch as you said to it. The contrast is just amazing. Im not usually one to go for Black and White wallapers because sometimes i can't see the programs i have set on teh background of the page but thsi is defintley an exception. Out of a 10, i give you a 20. You made that scan look 2x as good as it did before. Creativity is what you have, Keep the wallapers comming my friend. You have artistic Talent.:)

This is such an awesome wall. You didn't use pen tool to vector the scan, did you?? How many hours did you spend just to vector the thing??? I tried vectoring really REALLY simple stuff I spent hours on it and still not finished yet .. Love the footpath :) Great font - though personalyl I think using the same font for the siggy is kinda overkill and lessen the 'special'ness of it. Love it - congrats, great work!

I just got to reading alittle of Japot's comment on this picture and I think he's got a point about the whole black, white, and red color usage in so many black and white pictures like these. You should try and make another one of these type of pictures only make one in the rain using blue raindrops, or use green for acid or something. Great work on the picture anyway I still like it.

Gods Kalico. You never cease to amaze me. It's so hard to find a decent Death Note wall...but this has completely captured the spirit of the manga. I LOVE it. I love the splotches of blood? paint? Looks great against the B&Wness of everything else. I think I'd prefer it without the text in the bottom right, though. The 'S' on the poster looks kinda like it's coming out of Ryuk because the black's blending into each other, but I guess that's just a perspective thing, lol. Faved!

Wow, very nice vectoring indeed. The offshoot of black and white looks very good. Most black and white wallpapers are better than the majority of other types of walls, I just find that info pretty interesting. The only thing that i notice as a flaw (if you didn't it that is) is that the red splashes of blood should be darker and it looks more like spray paint than blood. Nonetheless this wall deserves the hard work you put into it!! (XD)
