Yeah, the name of the wallpaper is made of fail, I know. I just spent all of last night and most of this morning and afternoon working on this, so my brain isn't up to par. i'll change the name when I can think of a better one.
So I started this last night after falling in love with this series. I went screen capturing crazy and this was one of the screenshots. The original had an assortment of flowers in the background. I did attempt to vector them, but I'm not that great at vectoring yet so the blurriness of it made my eyes hurt. Needless to say, the result was disastrous. So I deleted the ugly flowers, searched online for some real-life flowers and painted them. Yeah, I chose tulips obviously. I wish I didn't because for something I thought that would be simple turned out to be more of a headache... Here is the original photo of the tulips.
Sorry if I did a bit of a hack job painting the flowers and Sawako. Hahaha... It happens to be my first attempt at painting something that's not a scenery. The hair was a lot of fun!
The clouds were a spontaneous kinda thing. At first, I just went "Blaaahh" and went across the page randomly with the 100px round brush before I decided to actually put some effort into it. Thank goodness I did because the initial 'clouds' looked more like a smoke screen or fog.
Tell me what you guys think because all I can see are imperfections. ><;
A Note about the vectoring of Sawako: Eto, in the screenshot, there was no difference between the skin and the white of her eyes. So I kept it that way. I didn't leave it out because I wanted her to be flat.. O_o; She simply happened to be flat-ish!

:33 the preview of this wall really drawn me in the sky's pretty good but i think this could be improved lots more like. the tulips are pretty flat, there should be more shade at the bottom parts and sides the grass lack a little paint look and over all lack a little dark shades. anyway i look forward to see more

Squeeeeeee! What a beautiful high resolution wallpaper! What isn't to love about this? Wonderful background, wonderful flowers, wonderful image pick! I absolutely adore that painted effect! This is a really good wallpaper! Kudos to you!

i really wish the lines were so dark and her eyes had the whites behind them. her skin looks flat compared to the rest of the wall and a bit dark. but i really love the way you did the flowers >3 and i think the colors look nice together

I like the clouds and tulips. :) I agree that her eyes need to have the whites colored in. For the skin, besides the blush, it looks like there are no shades. There should be some shade under the eyebrows, nose, lower lip, bangs, etc. The painting of the hair could use some smoothing/blurring so it looks cleaner, and the top of her head could use a nice bright hair shine. For me, I find it best to put shines/highlights on a new layer on top, block in color with the soft round brush, then smudge the color into hair strands with the smudge tool (same brush), and finally place the layer on color/linear dodge for best results. Good luck with any future painting projects! :D

Hm, I like the tulips but this needs more work. I wish your outlines were the neat type and her blush in the cheeks should be pinkinsh not purpleish like bruises. The sky looks all weird. I think Nysha gave you the best advice on it. but anyway, you get a fav cause I love Sawako =D I can see you're at the beginning, keep going and it will get better.

Nooooes! People are already stealing my ownership of the Kimi ni Todoke gallery xD Seems like i have to pick up my pace it could use more work.. The lines would look a lot better if you used shape layers and her blush need to be more pink I actually like the tulips a lot and the sky but Sawako herself doesn't seem to have any shades in her skin and her hair is too rough Her lips are too... no Kimi ni Todoke and there's some color leaks here and there But overall nice job

Gorgeous work on the flowers and sky, but the lines and a couple spots of the painting on the character bother me a tiny bit. It looks like you used stroke lines as opposed to shapes, which is a general no-no for vectoring living things. It makes her look not as beautiful as she could. Beautiful wallpaper~!

Why does this wall have such a low rating? It should at the very least have a B+ rating! (o_o) Really like her blush and her eyes! Looks refreshing from the usual eyes! <3 Could've been sharper*flowers* but oh well nothings perfect!
