My latest wallpaper to celebrate my birthday :)
I watched Kirameki Youko Box: Pieces of Sweet Stars music video long time ago and I noticed some nice screens in it. So finally decided to make a wall of one of the screens, so I picked one of my favourite shots which is this headshot from the MV: 
I used the tablet to make this wall, only cheated on a few parts with the pentool. Most painful to create where those hairs.
I started off with painting the neck -> head -> shading -> mouth -> glasses -> eyes -> fur -> hair. The hairs I divided into many different parts to get different directions into it. Edit: Removed the hair ends on the ear and reduced strength of the lines on the neck.

The lines are kind of rough here. Might want to fix the ear especially, and the lines on the neck should be less blunt-looking on the tips. I think that the hair should be blurred a little, to make the strands look slightly less prominent.

Ah yes, I've seen that vid and have taken screens of it myself, with this shot being one of my favs too. :3 With that said, she seems a bit squished compared to the shots I'm used to, like you need to stretch her out horizontally so her face fills out some more. Up close the details are interesting, but it would have been better to use vectored base colors (or vector masks to paint in) so that the edges of everything are sharp instead of blurry like they are now. You could have even put some shine on the shades to give the wall something more to look at. :) Good work though.

Exclente work. It seems very artistic.
But it is necessary to detail a little the eyes since they give a shaded aspect.
But quite this perfect.

I wish this were super clean throughout! It's a beautiful image but it somewhat disappointing in the areas where it is blurry! I assume this was a personal choice because you're obviously greatly skilled! Ah well! It's still a good wallpaper overall! Thanks for high res too! ^_^

Maybe with less blur it would be better, but it's a nice concept, her pose is nice.

really cool image of yoko. its like she's a movie star or a fashion star with those big glasses. its cool how the animators give her a lot of costumes to wear in her music video. the selective coloring is also cool.
