A new Final Fantasy wallpaper; this time featuring one of my alltime favorite characters; Vincent Valentine =)
I just love his character and his legendary quotes;
• Too much hope is the opposite of despair. An overpowering love may consume you in the end
• I don't care what you're doing, so much as the idiotic way you're doing it.
The wallpapers title is based on this; • Escape from a world of illusions... Hmph...I wonder which is better...?
I just liked it a lot, as it has the typical riddle quality of Vincents way of speaking. I tried to give the wallpaper a typical Vincent-feel, yet not a known one. I wanted it to be semi dark, as Vincent has that brooding quality, and also wanted it to have a mysterious feel. To do both I chose blue as the main color, instead of the usual red (as it's a cold yet very strong color), and as a second because it adds, for my personal taste, a better ambience to the feel of the title.
Some tech-specs;
• About twenty layers; lot's of overlays and fades. • Lots of color-correction; mainly on the ambience and the extra attention on his eyes. • Time; about five/six hours, spread with tiny bits over weekends.

Love the colors and blending you made here - Vincent looks really awesome in blue with the mood behind the leaves. I just wish he was on the right side of the wall since I have a lot of icons on the left one. Oh, well, it's still a great wall. :)

Nice typography, I like the characters flow. This type of FF wallpaper is a bit overdone but no harm doing the classics now and again! XD

One of my most favorite character also, very detailed background but I think the positioning of the moon could be a little less noticeable.

Oo, I really like the idea of this wallpaper! It reminds me of the nice wallpapers from several years ago, and I really like that. The blue works well for the mood. Red might haven been too hard to look at, haha. There's just a tiny thing about the wall that bothers me and it's the circle-y texture. While I think it suits the theme, it reminds me of dried water droplets on my windows that I really want to get rid of XD hahaha! Anyway, fav!

You did an excellent job with this, I like the BG so much! and the illustration of the meaningfull eye the white colour in the wall make the whole pic not that dark and it contrast out This is really a success! Congrats and thanks for this nice and sweet sharing!

Haya Kim! sooo sorry, dont know how i missed you wall.. It looks really great! You made an excellent choice on the blue rather than the red, gives it a really great feel. I like how vincent fades into the BG. I dont mind him being on the left as 'alenas and 'StormFang, lol i dont have any icons on my desktop :P Great work Kim!

ahh~ blue wallpaper seem to kill me today. Ever one of them is so beautiful! The way you put Vincent in there is well done and the kanji/hiragana are blended in greatly. +Fav! ^^

There should be more Vincent wallpapers like this. I love the colors you chose. Blue is one of my favorite colors. Vincent looks awesome in blue! Though I do believe the moon should be positioned somewhere else. The moon absolutely needs to stands out because it looks really pretty, but where it is now I feel the moon stands out too much. Even with that, I love this wall and I hope you make more Vincent wallpapers!
