i dont know if i should say ur amazing or ur computer's amazing such a huge file *i probably sound weird saying this* but ur fast. im not really fond of the lotus on the left, it somehow disturbs my view of how everything's layin flat on the water though i really love the eyes and the blouse *0* those shades..so smooth and shiny shiny master you shiny master 0-0 such small lips ;A; those water lines on her face really bothers me, are they suppose to be that solid and obvious? so, now, when can we expect a shiny bishie?

Got me with the surprise lol. Your effort on the leaves definitely paid off, the leaves and the water that is resting in them caught my eyes before anything else. Really impressive amount of detail.

OH EM GEE. This is one of the most beautiful walls I've seen here in a while. Everything about this wall is amazing: her eyes, the lily pads, the water. Her clothes are amazing and the flowers are gorgeous. This is truly a work of art and I'm sad that I can't do widescreen resolutions on my pathetic little computer. Phenomenal job!

p.s.2: one more thing you might have added are some snow- or water particles on the leaves. This might have turned this into a wintery wallpaper instead of seeming more like spring or summer. But maybe you intended her to be in warm water :D - I can imagine it'd be cold in if it was winter. Simply great .. can't get enough of looking at it :D. I'd fav it several times if I could ^^".

Finally! I was waiting for this for so long XD I absolutely am in love with it, I love all your work but I think this one is the best. The detail is so beautiful in each lilypad, and lets not forget her! I adore her eyes and hair, it's just stunning to look at. Amazing work Nyshie.

ok so it's taken me more sleep and lectures than planned to get around to this. i have gone and gotten myself a headache so actually it's harder to think straight now than a few days ago. xD;

nonetheless... well you know what i think of your paint-in-vector-mask style. 8] it is soft and very smooth but the style comes out looking carefully put together rather than the typical blurriness against sharp clean outlines look that i shy away from. < 3 overall pretty colors and you really did a beautiful job with the water! but the lily pad water pools and the other water droplets do make me go "hmmm..." a little. water's a tough one to master. depending on the sort of edge it has, the angle you view it at, and whatnot, the proximity of the highlights/shadows to the edge is different. i'll let a picture speak for me about the highlights in this situation.

and i'm sorry but i've just got to bring up a little pet peeve of mine. honestly the wall is pretty amazing with or without this problem so i'm stuffing it in a readmore. [readmore]when the shadow of one object falls in several "objects" at different heights, it's not the same as the shadow of that same object walling onto a flat surface. eg. the shadow of that big lily pad between her hand and her face falling onto her hair, the shadow of the pink lily's petal over her fingers etc. i noticed that the shadow of that strand of her hair falling over her chin vs above her neck is discontinued. that's the first step towards good shadow-making. oh god i could go on and on but i will shut up about it now. :x[/readmore]

i love how clean it is for a painting. very smooth, and just plain sexy. the vibrance and colors are great as well.

though, i think the highlights on the water aren't quite bright enough. seems like the highlights on the lily pads are more intense comparatively. and a water line around the top of her head would be nice, because without it, her hair looks dull above her bangs.

regardless, it is a lovely wall. great work!

Although you didn't really add much of your own that already wasn't present in the original scan, you're still really good at giving a nice polished look at your works.

One thing bothers me a little. Outlines on the leaves! :\ Other than that, lovely job.

I’m open to scan suggestions for future walls too. Scenic needs more love. Redrawing scans is cool but it would be cooler to see talanted people like you doing something like a nice scenic illustration. :3

Nice job on this one - I like the hair and the colors of this piece. I think underwater effects are difficult to achieve so it's great that you still went for it with this one. I know that the scan has weird lily pads in it (which is the only thing that kinda sticks out in my mind) but nice choice of crop. I also think it'd be great if you put more contrast in the girl to compliment the contrast you used for the background. However, as a whole you did a lovely job on the entire piece. My favorite part is the clothing - yay for ruffles :)

There is one thing that bugs me though,she has a really slight line of water on her face that you didn't drew/dodge...so she gets a lesser feeling of being soaked in water than the original piece...other than that...impressive!

Beautiful wallpaper! It has a very calm and serene feel to it however the gaze of the girl seems to tell a different story and that is how it holds your attention. Her eyes seem to convey a sense solemn forlorn feeling to the viewer. It feels as if you were looking into the eyes of Ophelia(well for me that is). Love the cool water wave effects and excellent job on painting the lilypads. Wonderful job on making and modifying the girl, it turned out very well and I like how you change her eyes by adding a certain glow to them. Thank You for sharing with us this alluringly hypnotic wallpaper.

Such a stunning, beautiful painting. The only thing I would say looks a little odd is the right side of her chest. The breast doesn't look as big or rounded as the one of the left but maybe she's turned slightly to the side and that's how we can pick it out. I would have to say my favourite part is the eyes. The way you painted them, with the unseen light above the girl standing out so brightly within, draws me to the wallpaper more than any other element.

Great scan choice/placement, and such a great rework of the scan. Definitely a wall that I look up to and think about when thinking of high quality walls.
