0-0 scared me there, i almost thought this was a photo of a room with kitty in it on preview i find the cat and food not fittin in that well, well because everything else seems so realistic-ish and the cat and food are so anime-like lol, idk >.< just that they feel they don't belong love those newpaper things though >D i should go watch the second season sometime

I found the ending to the first season really intense, and it's probably the only thing I remember from the series other than the opening scene with Misaki driving that sweet Porche. Mmmm. Porche. But yea, I agree with ya that the plot was a bit too mysterious in parts though.

Mao's shadow looks a bit off. Maybe it's too vague, but whatever the real reason is the result is that Mao and the plate of food look rather pasted into the scene rather than being a part of it. The rest of the wall looks great though. Thanks for posting it here :)

Hinting part the story of the character thru pieces of old newspapers scattered on his room wall is kind of a neat idea (like a detective looking for clues). I really like that…

I think the room could use a different set of textures especially around the wall and trim though. Is that concrete or plaster on the wall? The room in general would have look better if it had a bit more of a “decay” look (in moderation of course; I’m not implying completely ruined). Then again, I like stuff that look all worn out and dirty (just like those newspapers on the wall)...

I like how the mask and knife blends (even the coat) with the scene, but I can’t say the same for the cat and plate. The shadow the cat is casting needs to be darker (especially closer to the feet) and less blurry, in my opinion… Kinda like the one being cast by the knife, but with less intensity.

Anyways, it is an overall nice concept. Keep the good work.

i somehow feel the floor is all wrong for this wall, its saturated tone detracts from the work you put into the sword and the mask. i love the newsprint and the KITTYYYYYYY

Neat idea. I do agree with the comment that the shadow of the cat could be darker. It doesn't seem to match the shadow of the motivated lighting from the dagger.

The manipulation in this is wonderful. I can't even imagine the time it took to put together. I love the amount of detail in the wall, but how you've managed to balance it out with the contrast of the floor. On a shallow note, you have kitty!Mao, which makes me so happy to see again. You've done a brilliant job here. Thank you!

The story itself is what really got me interested in Darker Than Black. Well, that along with the fact that Bones was doing the animation, but it was mostly what I read up about the story itself. I won't disagree with you either, it's certainly quite a bit to fully take in during a single viewing of the series. However, I found that the second viewing was completely worth it and rewarding in it's own aspect.

What really makes this wallpaper for me is the fact that you keep with the tone of the series itself and offer viewer little snips of the series plot elements, yet at the same time you don't exact spoil anything. I'd go so far as to say that if I had never seen Darker Than Black before, after taking in every detail of the newspaper clippings I'd end up watching it simply out of great intrigue. I can only imagine how difficult it must of been to create such detailed re-creations of newspaper articles. While you can tell that some of the articles look more like posters than something that was removed from a newspaper, on the whole it looks absolutely amazing. Probably some of the best I've ever seen in terms of newspaper articles.

What I also really like is the absence of human characters. Including the mask and the sword/dagger-thingy was a fantastic touch and the shadowing? I love it! Putting Mao in makes this wallpaper all the more full of wins, mainly because he was my favorite character in the series next to Hei. I am also extremely curious as to what in the heck he is eating there, because that certainly looks..interesting.

From the fantastic creation of the floor and the walls of the room, to the newspaper articles and the fine details of the mask and sword as well as the great shadowing, it's a solid wallpaper through and through. I loved it solely for it's creativity, but all these other great elements set it completely beyond. Yet another amazingly smexy piece from you!

Sounds like you had a tough time making this. No worries, it's totally fine. Actually it's so good that I'm questioning why this isn't a SSS wallpaper? The tempo of your wallpaper really puts me back at home. It's relaxing and just sets the "home sweet home" mood. If you want me to I'll fight for your SSS!
