Imagine yourself wandering the cold, dark and deserted place called the "Abyss". Suddenly, a voice is calling out to you and in a dazzling bright light you see the white figure of a young girl... "Welcome to the Abyss..."
Techicals: So how on Earth did I get this crazy idea you ask? Well, it all started with my Pandora Hearts Christmas wall for the my-maiden Christmas contest. I was about 75% done with it and all of a sudden the idea came to me: wouldn’t this pose work fabulously with the Will of Abyss too? It all went straight down the hill from there T___T Especially after looking back at my first wall, Snow White Chaos. I tried to make her as authentic as possible, I did give the dress a little make-over, added some frills and stuff…just too make it look a little more uh , royal? (hence the title ‘Queen of the damned’ because she’s the boss of the Abyss and feared by all the chains and people who get dragged into it(=damned).) Reference scan: same as my Christmas wall obviously. Amount of layers: 200 give or take, but I already had a lot of work completed for the original and those layers had already been merged, so no exact number. This Alyss, well I didn’t know whether I changed enough on her to be called an original, so I’m just submitting it here. She’ll be in a future wall too( not 100% the same though), but that still needs a little work (it’s a twin wall <3 for Aneznam and Aoi-Orihime, paired with this scan. It’s got great potential already ^^ but it's taking longer than I'd hoped.)
Oh yeah, almost forgot: I made this in SAI, strictly painting as usual. I did use some coloured linework this time :p It’s really there, just really thin. Maybe a bit bright, but I had a certain vision I wanted to capture so really wether you like it or not (I hope you do a little) ... I like it ^^

hm...the skin colour's too deep/saturated, it's contrasting with the rest of her instead of being part of it. and I also find the bg too empty, sure it helps with focusing on the character but somehow even with the chains just too empty < 3 love those roses :D

Wow, nice job indeed. but, i think her skin is too dark comparing to everything, i mean it would be a lot more better if her skin drew some more on whitness, i always imagined her like that, and it would made wall even prettier. Just a little would be nice, but its just my suggestion. also background is too empty and simple, i adore the chains, but still not enough to fill, you could have added at least two more chains from each side, near her to fill up for that space. Other than that, nice job, and i like how you changed it from dark Alice. Oh and that title reminds me of the movie with same name :P

Have you ever made bad wallpaper? :D Beautiful dark wallpaper with very bright beauty at center (great, my center of desktrap is always clean :D) and a bit weird chains. XD But I think, Christmas ver is better. :D That ver I'll set after Christmas. :]

I've never really been a fan of bright eyelashes 'cause they make the characters look weird and creepy. Also, I agree with everyone's comments about the skin - it's too saturated and dark compared to the dress; I'm all for characters standing out but she stands out a bit too much like this compared to the dark background.
I like the roses and the fluffy thing on her crown, though. :)

wow your wallpaper just make me want to see Pandora Hearts so badly lol...Ill really have to check it out. About the wallpaper; I love the painting (again), the hair is stunning. BG is kinda basic but since she's the centre of the attention that doesn't really matter.

Pandora Hearts again? O_0 Lol, no problem with that :P I'm open to any new wallpaper with Alice. Is good, very good, but the previous where a bit better for me. Mostly due that I feel a bit empty...yes I know Abyss was something like this, but still... And joing to the crowd, skin too dark, a bit brighter would fit more to her dress. Faving it still due painting job and her. +Fav

i love alyss more so than alice ^^ so i love this wallpaper although its not a christmas feel ^^ thats ok because christmas will be over soon!!!
anyways i realized you don't like to outline your characters and objects which gives it an interesting feel ^^ do wonder how it would look with it though ^^

Sorry but I think your "The Snow Queen" is much better than this. The white is weird and it doesn't look natural. The background is extremely boring and the contrast between the white and black hurts the eyes. The skin tone in contrast to the white doesn't look natural and it looks poorly shaded especially considering she is surrounded by darkness. I think "The Snow Queen" is very impressive but this one kinda went the wrong way somewhere.
I think the thing that would really make this wallpaper more interesting is if you got rid of the chains in the bg and just generally made it more interesting like your Snow Queen one. Also, I would get rid of the white eyelashes thing. It would prob be better black. Perhaps look at some references to see how it would work well?
