Ah, second wallpaper ever submitted (sorta). I'm not too sure, so I'm sticking this in Session Zero for now.

So I recently fell in love with the animanga, Fairy Tail. I watched the episodes that were out first, but then I couldn't wait until after the Christmas holiday when the next episode comes out to find out what happens! I started reading the manga and I have to say I'm hooked <3 If you haven't heard of this animanga, go check it out!

Anyway, I was looking through the Fairy Tail gallery on Anime Paper (here) and came across a wall with Lucy (this one). In the description the artist put a link to Random Curiosity and I decided to head over there to check out the screencaps there. I saw one with Natsu looking... well like he is looking like in the wall :P

I used Illustrator for the first time ever and vectored Natsu! It didn't turn out very well... but I'm happy since it's my first vector on Illustrator ever and my first animanga vector too. I then used Photoshop to add some highlights and shadows, and I did the background and colouring with Photoshop (plus I touched up my vector slightly).

I tried to make it have a bit of a spray-on/paint-y feel, but I'm not sure if I was successful. Also, the colouring changed throughout the process of making the wallpaper, but the final outcome is a mixture of colourings, I'm not too sure about that either. I like the way the fist and vest-clothing-thing came out though <3

Done on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Time: 4+ hours for the vector itself & 2+ hours for the wallpaper (I was really indecisive)

Haha this looks like One Piece! I'm sure you'd have a top rated had this been One Piece! Fantastic typography! I like the feathering around the edge of the wallpaper! Makes it feel warm or something!

I think the spray-on effect worked! It looks like something that would be sprayed on a metal surface like the hood of a car, lol! That's pretty cool, haha. I really like the colors and the positioning. The background also looks interesting. I just don't like the part of the gray outline by the points of Natsu's hair. They look knobby and I think they should be sharper like the points of his hair, lol.

Not bad, I like this kind of coloring style and that gradient over the text. But I think the text should contain something more creative as this very casual "Fairy Tail" Also his hands could use a little thinner outlining on the upper part.

Very marked shapes give a good result with few colours. The background is top, awesome, it's a good wall for every fans of the serie.

Nice colors! Likin how the pastel red goes with the turquoise hehe :D The vector is dynamic and the word flow creates movement in the background to match the character! Whoopdeedoo!
