At long last, I finally finished my second wallpaper. Took me about 20 different versions till I got to this, so this was refined a lot. ^^;;
I'm really into the grunge style and I wanted to make a wallpaper featuring it. I stumbled across this particular scan, and started working. The extraction, I gotta say, was a little difficult, and I don't think I got all the residue off the wings. This was mainly because the background was similar to the wings in color, so differentiating the two was a problem. The background itself wasn't too difficult, mostly brushing and that single stock photo of a castle (thank you, Google Image Search).
And, I have to give a really, REALLY big thanks to my dear friend Gloo for putting up with me and constantly correcting my silly mistakes. She basically gave me all the ideas for this wall, from the castle to the lightning, and it was my pleasure to put them to good use. ^_^
I would also like to thank all those down at Session Zero for their helpful comments and encouraging words. They really helped my pull all this together.

Yay, u finally submitted it! It certainly looks more grudgy than before, which is nice. Kudos to you for replacing the red glow with a black one. I personally think the scan blends in a lot better that way. Also kudos for brightening up the halo. Looks awesome ^^
Still not sure about the clouds/fog and text (sori, just not a big fan of text X_x), but the lightening looks quite nice since it stands out in the darkness. You really made some great improvements! *pats you on the back and feeds you cookies*

It looks realy good and im loveing the style, all work very well together, the only thing im not realy sure about it the castle, there was nothing like that in the series and that slightly takes away from the image for meotherwise it is wonderful

hmm, ppl just dont know what cool walls look like nowadays... its awesome, the atmosphere feels real - sad and inspirational great background, especially those lightnings all looks really stylish btw, id use some other font

Ah, quite the unusual wallpaper you shown here. The concept you ued to create this wallpaper is a bit unusual for my eyes to see. The wings look to be a bit solid and frozen. The thunder/lighting in the background seem to be a bit fake. Black and red theme is good for gothic/dark wallpapers. You used rough textures and it shows a good enough quality. This wallpaper may appear to be quite simple and easy, but it can be real complex and intricate. Keep the work and effort up, NeikanShinigami!
