hello, this is my first wallpaper submission here on this site. I read in the FAQ that as first timers in the site, I need my work to be critique... I extracted Maka Albarn from the original scan that i downloaded from Minitokyo.net. Draw the background... I know, I'm really bad at drawing things.

anyway i hope i can get critiques that will surely help me do well wallpapers in the future (o_o)

The thing about the BG is that, even though it isn’t amazing, it matches the overall Soul Eater style (somehow). It feels right, in other words.

Not bad, but still thinking that the characters are a way too complicated for the background itself, even when the style resembles the anime. I would select rather more filled buildings though.

Guess what? it is the bg of this wall that really caught my attention to click on it XD I really like the concept of it as it is a rather unique way of designing a bg...just by using the lines to draw simple houses. however, simple as they are, they really match the scan u r using for this wall. Maybe it is the good selection of the bg colour. It blended the whole thing together without making the scan and the bg looks like two tototally different things. :3 Besides, the texture of the bg made the whole thing works as well. I like this wall of yours...:3 keep up the good work XD

I love love the scan of Maka but I don't think it works well with the background. The background gives a cartoon/kid feel. And the scan of Maka looks way more serious and complicated. I would expect something a little grungy/steampunk-ish.
