Final Fantasy VII The Traveler

The traveler... Hmm... sounds like something from Smallville. I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, well, at least of the games. But I don't have a PS2 or a system that supports the regular series with Cloud and all. My point in all this (which is fairly irrelevant), isn't that the sword Cloud carries? I don't know the story very well so whatever. But as for the wall, you did an excellent job of extracting Zack and blending him. The hair looks fine after what you did. All the blending looks excellent, except for the back layer up against the sky, it looks a little rough on the edges. But otherwise great job.

I think you did a great job blending all these stock photos together - at least I can't see the seams where they are joined ;) Love it~

Impressive! Blending scans into stock is tough work, but the results are usually great if done well - and you've definitely done a really nice job here! I've been wanting to work with more stocks but I don't know if I have enough skills to pull it off like you did here xD; BTW, thanks for linking the chibimisao wall and sharing the hawtness/inspiration :D

This is remarkably well done. I usually hate walls with cg characters blended into stocks (they often look really fake) but this one turned out awesome. Nice work!

Ooh. From afar, this looks stunning. And even when I look at it full-view, it still is! I was expecting some choppy blending or too much open space, but I really like it. You did an excellent job! I'd love to see the photos you used. I agree with some of the others in that I don't usually like these types of walls. Character placed into real scenery often looks low-quality, but you did it nicely. *faves*

There's something about it that looks a little off to me about this wallpaper. Although Zack Fair is CGed so that he looks realistic, he still isn't realistic enough as compared to the stock images. Also, the separate stock images you used have a mix of shadows. Although Zack and the pillars have one source of light, the shadows on the background seem to be from a different light source. It makes it look awkward. However, excellent job on the redrawing of pieces of Zack's hair. I would've never guessed any part of him was redrawn.

ah its great, i love Zack ♥♥♥ its so wonderful, love how you managed to make this wall extremely high quality and awesome job on blending. I always loved this image of him so its really perfect now that you used it ^^. Anyway, you accomplished what you imagined so this is going straight to my favs and desktop ♥+

Great extraction, I started extracting this scan too somewhen but gave up on the hair. You did a great job on that. Also I like that the wall has this intense high quality overall. I only find it a bit boring to look at, some interesting lighting like a sunset or somethign else that makes it more dynamic or gives mor elife to the wall would have been highly appreciated. Anyway, keep it up!

Wow, I would have thought that the scan of Zack came with the pillars! Great job on the extraction! About the background, I think it would be better if the part outside the pillars didn't have a glow. It kinda makes things look less believable, hahah.

Awwww thanks. It's really nice to know that my wallpaper inspired you. :D This is gonna be quite a long comment. xD I think you did an amazing job on the extraction. Especially the hair. Im glad you actually decided to add additional strands of hair to make it look natural. I personally do that too when extracting these kinda images. It really makes it look more natural. :) Though the extraction is good, i think you still need to fix the blending of the character with the background. Like it still looks kinda contrasting. What i did in my wallpaper was slightly blur the edges of the character so that it would'nt look too sharp against the background. Then i also added in more lighting and shading in accordance to the bg. For example the back part of Zack's arm has a white tone to it. Which shows that there's a very strong light source hitting him. So the background would also need to reflect that. So you should make that area around him brighter. It'll help make him flow more seamlessly into the background. ;D As for the pillars, it looks good with the gradual blur as it goes off into the distance. But the ones closer to the character seems a bit too detailed and realistic compared to the CG character. So i think some slight blur/smudging technique would make it look more CG'd as opposed to its current realistic look. Well that's all i can think of at the moment. Still a good job nonetheless. ^_^

great effects and an awesome composition

It´s so hard to blend a stock photo and a render becouse of the different light, but here you dit it. I would like it better with Cloud on it insted of Zack! and the mist too, very good work!! It´s a beautifull wallpaper! By the way what temple is this? I dont reconize it. Anyway thanks for this!
