The idea for this wall changed about 50 odd times, everytime i did something i had a new idea, it was a bit of a pain. Even though i was the one changing it. Well I saw the scan of the same little nature girl from Sekirei, i fail to remember her name again D: Well I vectored it into this! http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Killermuppet/item278253/
After that it was annoying, i choose to paint again! Why i dont know, i dont even know how i did it the first but alsa i did..=.= hard work. And it was tree! Anyway, it took about...eh almost two weeks i think...on and off. I had a lack of attention period and did sqwot to it xD Yeah i didn't want the ground all covered in grass, just the slight area around her. Well blah blah And i randomly thought to do a step by thingy thing. Well,I think this wall needs more work...the style of the vector doesn't match the bg at all...you should have made her with colored outlines as well,if you planned the tree to be that way...as for the tree,you can see all the strokes you made,you should blur the shades more,or maybe use Sai or some other programs for painting,because PS is not really good for it...also,everything seems just too blended in,I think the shades should be a bit more sharper...and also,more complex,especially the bg...it's just too simple and just blurred,which doesn't fit the image of the girl at all..also,there is a leak of outline in the middle of the tree somewhere...the grass also looks really strange,like it's growing from the tree,which is not possible...maybe try to add a more solid grass,and not so transparent,and with a bigger strokes...or make the difference in color between the ground and the tree...the sky could use some clouds in it or some landscape blurred in the distance...

I like the meaning the wall gives. : D Very nice, but I still think it needs more work. For instance the colouring is lacking. I feel you should somehow make the background and foreground work together. Just by looking at it now, they feel separated. Maybe you should have worked with lighting as well and emphasize details to give it a nice feel

The tree looks nice... But the character doesn't fit. The blending between her feet and the grass is cool, but otherwise it looks like she was pasted on top of the tree, giving a 2D effect. Obviously this isn't 3D art but it makes things look flat. Because the girl is holding a flower, I would assume this wall related some how with nature (or life as your title may put it), but the sunset gives off a different feeling. Warm colors, but not the feeling I think your looking for. Some brighter colors (like a blue sky with clouds) would help in my opinion. Not a bad try though, nice work. Just needs a little extra work.
