Quite the nice artwork, but making the central character too bright somewhat detaches her from the background. Perhaps either toning down her brightness or making the background brighter would do the trick. Nothing else much to complain abou tthough. Great work.

Pretty nice and cool, considering that you drew everything. And the Perspective is correct as well. That said though, there are still a couple of things that totally need to be changed, in my opinion. First the textures you used for the floor, walls and ceiling. They are way way waaay too heavy and they feel too realistic if you compare them to the scan you've chosen which is not only an anime artwork but it's also coloured "manga-style". They completely clash. My suggestion would be to always, always always paint/airbrush your background... I mean since you took time and effort to create the outlines of the whole scene why didn't you just go on and paint it as well? Backgrounds in anime are painted/airbrushed, including their textures. You could pick any anime scan and use it as reference to imitate the kind of textures that you see. Or just pick an airbrush, because afterall, looking at the perspective you've gone for, you don't even really need to paint details on floor and walls anyway you could have just passed a soft airbrush to colour it and shade it. The other thing is the outlines. They fit, but they stand out too much compared to the scan that it feels too weird... my tip is always play with their opacity, to make them blend, or even better grabbing an eraser with different opacity and pass on the "farthest" outlines of the areas/elements of the background. Last thing is the buildings... and I don't think I need to say what's weird with them, cause I think you already are aware of it ... XD

Been a longass comment but I wanted to give you my personal insight about it because I am glad you're going through this kind of style and it'd be really cool to see you create more of this kind of wallpapers in future.

good job on this one, the result looks good. you did a great job on the hall, but the walls seems a bit weird looking, although it should be good. the buildings outside could be done a little bit better. the perspective of it doesn't look right. the left side of the building sticks out too much, unless they are like that @&#95;@". other then those the wall is great =).

This is so nice... I'm not even familiar with this series and I'm entraced by it o_O I love the way you accented the hair to match the embers. The red, while used alot, it remains very artsy and beautiful. Textures are nice too~

I must say is very fitting to the series, particularly the eps you mentioned. The bridge and spell is right in place with it ... Although it's great, the quality is lacking in the screenshot you used, I don't mind Shana being a little blurry ... The red is a nice colour for my eyes, the grass is ... too big, you can really tell it's from Photoshop XP Try making the brush a little smaller, and blending it more.

Overall, it is a nice piece of work, thanks for your effort, b3r.

Very good shakugan no shana wallpapper. Really sets the mood of a upcoming battle. Is perfect layout for desktop. I wouldnt change a thing about it. You almost feel like she is looking back at you.

As a fan of dark wallpapers, this one naturally grabs my eye. The deep red glow looks great, and the embers floating about similarly nice. Like something straight out of the anime, to tell the truth. Excellent work.

Only recently got into Shakugan actually. I'd have to say that this is my favorite. I honestly don't know a thing about photoshop or doing pictures like this on a computer. I think the 'tone' is what came off the best. The picture just has an excellent feel about it. It's my background now, good job, love the highlights and shadow effects.
