I would have to first say that I really like the background. It really looks night time in a forest. It has a mysterious feel to it and the ambient glow achieves this. The airbrush look gives it a feeling of depth in comparison to the foreground. I find myself staring at the background more than the character lol.

The character is beautifully done just like the background. I like how the fireflies wrap around his right arm. The way he is painted is really smooth and clean.

The his hair is kind of jagged but I have that problem also. It comes from making really fine lines and sharp lines that have steep angles. I have been experimenting with enlarging, 50% blur layer, and reducing the size. It really helps anti-aliasing those jagged parts from fine points without enlarging line width too much.

The other problem is the tree that he is lying on. It just seems too flat in comparison to everything else. I think painting dark shades where the grooves of the tree are will enhance it.

Definitely a +fav.

*___* Zomg the thumb really caught my attention. I love what you've done - bishie with the green glow! And only 7 hours? Gaaah I wish I could wall that fast. XD Though I think his skin shading is a bit too light like it's in daylight and I would have liked to see some variation in size for the fireflies - and even some in the foreground too such that it looks like he's gazing/spacing out at some. :D I like your work on the forest a lot, and great idea for the bg. :3 Overall the wall seems a bit unfinished - things still look rough and the details unpolished, even on him. The wall is definitely in the right direction though, and would be even more awesome if those details and more time were put in it.

Didn't think I was going to like the green but in full view it's gorgeous. Lol, I kept thinking how bad I'd be freaking out if I saw that many fireflies near me. Wonderful coloring of the BG and the beautiful shades you picked work so nicely together. Nice job.

@-@ *Drooools* I gotta say the thing that caught my eye was the awesome green glow. x3 I can't even do normal lighting as well as you did~ Especially in such short a time... <--- takes foreva to do anything The entire thing is gorgeous, though... of course there's the things mentioned by Tens-san and Nysha-san but I wouldn't even have noticed if they hadn't said anything. xD (Though I do agree about the skin being too light. xP But it kinda works?)
