I drew the stock by hand, scanned it, then vectored in photoshop7. The lyrics are from Battlecry- Nujabes feat. Shing02, Samurai Champloo theme.
There aren't a lot of layers, only around 30, but a lot of paths, at least 100. It took me about three days, mostly because I was slacking off.
This is my first wallpaper ever! ^_^

I really like the use of the simplistic shapes to compliment the vector, and for a first wall it's great. However, one thing I would say is loose the text.
Stylistically it's quite a complicated thing and it's also quite a detailed passage, so it doesn't really suit the rest of the wall. It also gives the impression you'r trying to "hide" an empty patch in the wall, and you should never be afraid to have less busy areas in walls - they're good for icons. And speaking of which, the area where there is text is where most people have icons by default, so it's going to get coverd over quite a lot and some people won't like that, redusing the usefulness of the wall.

LOL, I love this wall! It makes me laugh XD Jin is so funny. But the words to the side are a bot serious compared to the pic, aren't they? But, I guess another way of looking at it is you've managed to parody seriousness. ^_^ Good job!

I love the idea.. it's like one of those character design things.. very cool. As for it being a wall, well I dunno if I could really use that on my desk. I think this kind of thing would be beneficial with top and bottom borders.. for icon space ;) But anyway, I love the colors, it's really soft on the eyes and pleasant to look at.

Nice vectoring. Only thing i don't like is the Battlecry lyrics. I like my walls with as little typography as possible.

haha Jin looks very funny in this one. I also like how you put in lyrics of the opening theme in this one. Jin's face looks very long. Blue is always a matching color for Jin.
